Sharon Gatete has released her first album of songs that are very pleasing. Surprisingly, they are all very pleasant to the ears, you listen to one of them and repeat it over and over again.
The eight songs on this album were preceded by the one she released ’Kumbuka (Ibuka)’ with Yves B and Rhodah A, on his YouTube channel.
All the eight songs on this album Nzategereza Live Album are ’Nzategereza’ remix, ’Kumbuka (Ibuka)’, ’Rwanda Shima Imana’, ’Inkuru Nziza’, ’Inzira, Ukuri n’Ubugingo’ with Jonathan Ngenzi, ’Emmanuel’, ’Ntutinye’ by Luc Buntu (Cover)’ featuring Shammah C and Shekhinah G, and ’Nabonye Umukunzi Mwiza’ featuring Rhodah A, Merci Worshiper, Janviere J and Favor G.
This girl Sharon Gatete has beautiful voice and good songwriting, and doing it as her calling, her followers know her by saying: “If he created us for his glory and gave us that talent, I mean why not use it for his glory? What could we repay him anyway? Just thoughts."
The first song she released, called Umukunzi, was released on May 13, 2023. She wrote this song after she remembered how she met Jesus, and showed her a strong and different love than anyone else would show her.
After that, she released a song called Nzategereza, which is also her own album’s title, except that it is on this album as the remix because it had been released for almost 8 months ago. She wrote it in order to encourage people to wait, and continue to believe in God, because he is the refuge and that he will overcome their trials.
Currently, this singer is studying music at Daystar University in Kenya, for Bachelor. Before that, she first studied music in Rwanda, at Nyundo School of Music, which was later renamed Rwanda School of Creative Arts and Music when it was moved to Muhanga.
This artist was born to the parents of pastors, Pastor Godfrey Gatete and Pastor Peace Gatete. they lead the Revival Temple Church located in Remera, Ruturusu 2 in Kigali City, where she also gathers when she is in Rwanda.
She is studying music with the aim of getting a PhD in music, so that she can continue to glorify God professionally, through in the song.
