On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Miss Nishimwe Naomie and her boyfriend who are preparing to live as husband and wife, Michael Tesfay from Ethiopia who goes by the name Prophetic on his social media, used Instagram to announce the words: “We are excited to announce that our wedding dates are set, and we can’t wait to share this special moment with all of you! Save the date! You Know What It Is! An invitation is on its way.”

In an interview with a Radio Rwanda reporter on February 17, 2024, she was asked questions about her personal life and work, in addition to her love affairs, and she ended up saying that she will get married in December 2024.

At that time she refused to say the exact date of the wedding, saying only a month. The details of her love affair and the details of their engagement, including the location of the wedding, she said he will reveal gradually.

So now the date has already been known, because it will be December 29, 2024. What remains is to know what else is going on with it, where it will take place and so on.
On January 1, 2024, Miss Rwanda 2020 Nishimwe Naomie wore a ring with her lover Tesfay from Ethiopia, showing that they are ready to live together for a while.

Tesfay posted a video on his Instagram page showing him ringing Miss Naomie Nishimwe, adding: “I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you and glorifying God through our union. Congratulations Naomie we are going to get married.”

It was in April 2022 that it became known that the two were in love, especially because Miss Nishimwe Naomie did not hide it, but continued to show photos of them together, putting an end to the rumors that were still being discussed when she released a video with her boyfriend explaining how they met. Michael Tesfay, who was born in Ethiopia, started coming to Rwanda in 2018 to do a medical internship at the University of Rwanda for four months. He has a Masters in Medicine. He studied at the University of Edinburgh in England but currently he is staying in Rwanda for work reasons.

According to Michael Tesfay, if they live together, their home will glorify God because Naomie Nishimwe was recently baptized in water with her family, which shows that she already loves God.

Miss Nishimwe Naomie and her family were baptized by water at the Noble Family Church, led by Apostle Mignonne Kabera on Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was baptized with her father, her four sisters who live in the ’MacKenzies’ group and her aunt. Their mother was the bridge for them to reach this Church.

Michael Tesfay is over 29 years old and almost 30 years old, while Miss Naomi Nishimwe is 24 years old and is about 25. The news has yet to announce where the ceremony of proposal and marriage, engagement in law and in front of God will take place, but now it is also close as they declared.

Naomi said that living with Tesfay will not mean that she is going to leave Rwanda to live in Ethiopia, but she will be somewhere depending on the job she will be doing.
