On August 31, 2025, believers gathered for the second day of a three-day prayer program where Pastor Christian Gisanura continued to remind Christians that Jesus is sufficient in every aspect of life—whether spiritually, in work, or in daily living.
In his sermon, Pastor Gisanura emphasized that while people always have many desires, true satisfaction comes only from Christ. He stated: “We humans are constantly in need. But when we have Jesus, He is enough. That is why we humble ourselves and cry out, ‘Jesus is sufficient for us.’”
He reinforced this message with Philippians 4:13, which declares: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He further explained that achievements in work, school, or family life are not the result of human effort alone, but of Christ’s enabling power.
Drawing from 1 Samuel 17, he reminded the congregation of David before King Saul as he prepared to face Goliath. Though initially despised, David testified that God had helped him overcome the lion and the bear, and the same God would empower him to defeat the Philistine giant. Pastor Gisanura remarked: “In the same way, God gives us strength when we face challenges that seem impossible to overcome.”
He also referred to Ephesians 1:17-19, where Paul prays for believers to receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that they may know the riches of God’s glory and the immeasurable greatness of His power for those who believe.
Pastor Gisanura said: “God gives us wisdom and strength so that we may use them to glorify Him. When a person becomes self-centered, they think they were born to chase money. But the true purpose of life is to glorify God in everything we do—whether in education, business, healthcare, or any other work.”
He reminded the congregation that God’s power is not limited to great miracles but is also revealed in everyday life. He emphasized Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 12:8-10, showing that God’s power is perfected in human weakness, and in Romans 8:37, which assures that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
In closing, Pastor Gisanura encouraged believers to recognize that our weaknesses highlight the grace of God and that true victory comes from Him. He urged everyone to continually surrender to Jesus and thank Him daily because He alone is enough.
