Gospel artist and songwriter, Alpha Rwirangira, has revealed that he was overwhelmed by the way Richard Nick Ngendahayo supported him in the “Amashimwe Concert.” It was an evangelistic concert he did in Canada, and he taught him to be humble and love God in a broader way.
It was the first time that the two had met in the same concert despite living in the same country. Alpha Rwirangira organizes these concerts in order to help his fans and music lovers get closer to God and help them end the year on a positive note.
On different occasions, Richard Nick Ngendahayo has made popular songs so that some have been trying to invite him to Rwanda but he refused. It was a rare opportunity for Alpha because he agreed to support him.
Alpha described Richard Nick Ngendahayo as “a very God-loving, humble and principled person,” He continued, “The other thing is that everyone deserves to be like that. Only, when he believes in something, he does well in it. We would do very well. He is an honest man. He is a man who loves God and his family very much."
Alpha says that Richard Nick is ’a special person and he hopes they will have a great time at the concert in Ottawa on November 23, 2024.’
It is the second concert they will be doing through a series of concerts called "Amahimwe Concert". Ticket is $50. “He’s a genius,” he said. Do you know that Richard can play all kinds of musical instruments?”
He said that Richard also showed it in the concert where they met. To Alpha it was a blessing to meet him because he learned much from him. “When you meet someone like that you want to learn more from them, and it’s truly been a blessing to me and a blessing to the people of Edmonton,” He said.
These concerts are annual events, built to praise God. There are other artists who will join him in this concert this time. He will let people know them in the coming days.
He said that among his plans this year is to come to Kigali and visit his family, but if not possible he will come to Kigali in 2025. He said, "I am planning to come to Rwanda very soon."
Richard Ngendahayo is one of the most famous ’Gospel’ artists who managed to release an album that was popular in a big way, until the songs on it won the hearts of many.
On different occasions, concert organizers in Kigali have tried to invite him but refused at the last minute. There are reports that at the end of this year, this artist based in America may perform in Kigali.
He has various songs : “Mbwira ibyo ushaka”, “Ibuka”, “Gusimba Umwonga”, “Si Umuhemu”, “Yambaye Icyubahiro”, “Wemere ngushime”, “Ijwi rinyongorera”, “Unyitayeho”, “Sinzakwitesha” and others.
Ngendahayo has been to America for over 12 years. But his talent and art have started to be recognized by people since 2005, and his art is widely used by various temples.
