Rwandan gospel star Aline Gahongayire, also known as Dr Alga, has blessed her fans with a new song titled “Yesu Ashimwe” (Praise Jesus), a powerful anthem of thanksgiving and victory.
The song carries a strong message about God’s mighty works in everyday life, declaring triumph after trials. In emotionally rich lyrics, she sings about dancing in victory after the fall of Jericho and singing like those who crossed the Red Sea after being questioned, “Where is your God?” boldly affirming that He has done it and will do even greater things.
In an interview with Paradise, Gahongayire explained that “Yesu Ashimwe” is a daily expression of gratitude, emphasizing that Jesus is still at work in every situation, lifting, sustaining, and restoring. She described the song as a heartfelt thanksgiving inspired by the continuous goodness of Christ.
Beyond music, Gahongayire is deeply engaged in ministry, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. In 2019, she founded Ndineza Organization, aimed at bringing positive social change, building on her 15 years of experience in nonprofit and community work.
She is supported by a professional management team led by Eric Mashukano and Natasha Haguma of Fill the Gap, who has organized major events including the “Niwe Healing Concert” by Richard Nick Ngendahayo and the Egypt & Middle East Expo.
Recently, the team welcomed Ugandan artist Bruno K (Bruno Kiggundu), known for songs like “Faridah” and “Omuwala,” and for finishing second in Airtel Trace Music Stars.
Bruno K now plays a key role in expanding Gahongayire’s music internationally, particularly in Uganda, where she promoted her work in media appearances and concerts on September 3, 2025.
“Yesu Ashimwe” is the lead single from her upcoming eighth album, also titled Yesu Ashimwe. The project is expected to continue spreading messages of gratitude, faith, and the assurance that Jesus is alive and still performing great works.
Known for her hit song “Ndanyuzwe,” Gahongayire remains committed not only to music but to transforming lives and encouraging people to praise God in every season.
