Vestine and Dorcas have officially parted ways with M. Irene Entertainment (MIE) after five years of working together
Renowned Rwandan gospel music duo Vestine and Dorcas have officially announced the end of their five-year partnership with M. Irene Entertainment (MIE), the management company led by Murindahabi Irene, marking a significant turning point in their music ministry and career.
In a statement released on June 13, 2026, the sisters revealed that the decision came after careful reflection on their future as artists.
While describing the move as difficult, they emphasized their desire to continue their journey independently and build a future aligned with their personal vision and values.
“After deep reflection and careful consideration, we, Vestine and Dorcas, have decided to officially end our working relationship with MIE,” they stated.
Despite the separation, the duo expressed profound appreciation for the role MIE played in their growth and success over the years.
According to the artists, MIE believed in their talent from the beginning, invested in their dreams, and provided support during critical moments of their musical journey.
They noted that the company became more than a management team, serving as a family and source of guidance throughout their rise in gospel music.
“First and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank MIE for being a tremendous blessing in our lives. From the beginning, they believed in us, invested in our dreams, and supported us when we needed it most,” they said.
Vestine and Dorcas explained that although they cherish the achievements and memories shared with MIE, they believe the time has come to pursue their calling as independent artists.
The duo said the decision reflects their commitment to shaping a future that aligns with their long-term goals, values, and aspirations.
Their announcement follows months of speculation regarding tensions between the artists and their management, particularly after reports that Vestine remained in Canada following a music-related trip, a move that was said to have created disagreements between the two parties.
The relationship between Vestine and Dorcas and MIE dates back several years and played a pivotal role in transforming the sisters into some of Rwanda’s most celebrated gospel artists.
Although the partnership faced challenges in 2021, when reports emerged that the two sides had parted ways, discussions eventually led to reconciliation and the signing of a new agreement.
Over the years, their collaboration resulted in numerous successful gospel songs that resonated with audiences both in Rwanda and internationally.
Among their most popular songs are “Yebo (Nitawale),” “Usisite,” “Emmanuel,” “Iriba,” “Ihema,” “Umutaka,” “Neema,” and “Kumusaraba.” These songs have accumulated millions of views across digital platforms and helped establish the sisters as influential voices in contemporary African gospel music.
While neither side has disclosed details about future projects or the circumstances surrounding the separation, fans have expressed hope that both Vestine and Dorcas, as well as MIE, will continue to make a positive impact in the gospel music industry.
As they embark on this new chapter, many will be watching to see how the award-winning duo expands its ministry and musical influence as independent artists.
Their departure from MIE closes an important chapter in their career, but it also opens the door to new opportunities, fresh creativity, and a future they are now preparing to shape on their own terms.
They thanked MIE for its support while announcing their decision to continue their music journey as independent artists.
