Medard Jorbet Ngabo [Meddy] announced that his wife Mimi Mehfira was surprised by how he dedicated himself to God to the point of receiving salvation, and started an evangelistic journey after the time that had passed since they lived together as husband and wife.
He returned to it this Sunday night, September 29, 2024, when he testified at a large crusade in the city of Portland, Maine, in the United States of America.
It is a series of crusades called "Night of Worship & Testimonies with Meddy" that he organized in order to get closer to his fans and music lovers, and in order to call the youth and others to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
He used artists including Adrien Misigaro who collaborated on a song called "Ni yo Ndirimbo” and various others in order to deliver his message to thousands of people.
Meddy said that being saved (receiving salvation) came as a surprise to him. Because he lived his whole life with the desire to make a lot of money and get well, but when he arrived in America he started thinking about the end of his life, he decided to start reading the Bible.
He said that he spent a whole year praying and asking God to reveal to him what he called him to do. And, the time came when God heard him and started working for Him. He learned more and understood that God is true.
He said, "I saw Jesus, I know you won’t believe it, I told you that I knew Jesus, but it won’t help you, because the disciples of Jesus also denied him, and they were with him. It takes the Holy Spirit to convince you, it’s not my words, it’s not just my experience."
He received salvation while he was with his wife, short time after wedding. He even says that his wife was surprised by how he got into this calling. He said that he used to share the ’juice’ with his wife on different occasions, but as soon as he received salvation it was stopped.
He began to ask God to show himself to him and his wife. At that time he began the process of praying to him. He said "One night my wife woke up and told me that she saw someone but she couldn’t understand. I asked her what did he say to you? I told her that it was Jesus, I told her that to be calm, I went to the room and told God to give my wife another dream so that she would believe in him."
He said that he will continue to make music but build on prophecy because that is what God has called him to today. He said that he will use the power of his music to preach the Kingdom of God.
