Rising star Danny Dollar steps out of Moriox Kids with new Gospel hit “Amashimwe”

Ishimwe Danny, known by his stage name Danny Dollar, is a young Rwandan artist who has made a bold step towards becoming an international gospel musician.

Formerly a member of the popular group Moriox Kids, Danny chose to leave in pursuit of his personal dreams, stating that the group no longer aligned with his goal of becoming an independent artist.

Now aged 17 and living in Kagugu, Gasabo District, though originally from Musanze, Danny Dollar is quickly building his name through deeply spiritual music rooted in Christian faith.

His newest release, "Amashimwe" (which translates to Thanksgiving), is a powerful gospel track in which he reflects on God’s faithfulness and the strength he draws from prayer in every moment of his life, whether entering the studio, traveling, eating, or simply waking up.

"Amashimwe" comes after two successful singles: “Nabona”, a love-filled song thanking God for a purposeful relationship, and “Bombe”, where he addresses rumors about his character after leaving Moriox Kids. In all three songs, Danny’s message is consistent: God has been his source of strength through criticism, hardship, and transition.

The production of Amashimwe was a collaborative effort with Gad Beat Record on audio, and Patient Forsure handling the script, video, and color.

The video, shot at Nyawe Lamberto (CK) location, features fashion by Sean Priston, and the song was distributed by Kigali Connect® and Patient Forsure’s Focus Studio. Special thanks were given to his mother, Maman Danny, who continues to be a strong supporter of his career.

Danny Dollar may be young, but with a strong faith, a supportive family, and a clear vision, he’s setting his sights beyond Rwanda, carrying his message of hope, resilience, and gratitude to the world stage.
