Rwandan gospel music duo Vestine and Dorcas left their fans laughing after sharing a humorous moment during their newly released video titled "The New Chapter"
The sisters, who recently announced the beginning of a new phase in their music ministry after parting ways with Murindahabi Irene Entertainment (MIE), used part of the conversation to joke about the many rumors that have surrounded them in recent months.
At one point in the discussion, Vestine playfully claimed that she had become a mother.
"I’m now a parent. These days I hold a baby and gently pat her on the back. Dear friends, another artist has been born. When she grows up, she’ll join our group."
She then added another joke that had everyone smiling.
"She’ll sing the soprano part in the group."
The comment immediately sparked laughter from Dorcas and those present, making it clear that the sisters were simply having fun with their audience.
Vestine went on to continue the joke by saying: "People have written about it and they’ve been saying it, but yes, it’s true—I gave birth to a baby girl."
However, the two quickly made it obvious that the entire story was meant as lighthearted humor rather than a real announcement.
The playful exchange came as part of their first major appearance after nearly six months away from releasing new music.
During the conversation, Vestine and Dorcas reassured fans that they had not abandoned their calling, explaining that they had simply been going through a season of prayer and preparation for what they described as a "new chapter."
They also revealed that they have many new songs ready for release and announced that their upcoming single will be titled "Itabaza."
The humorous moment about the "baby girl" becoming the group’s future soprano quickly became one of the most memorable highlights of the conversation, with many fans appreciating the sisters’ sense of humor after months of speculation about their lives and ministry.
