Rachel Uwineza and Chryso Ndasingwa, two celebrated Rwandan gospel artists, have joined forces on the new track "Nzakujya Imbere", set to debut on Thursday, January 16, 2025. This song is already available on music streaming platforms, with a video premiering on YouTube the same day.
The song, inspired by Isaiah 45:2, reflects on God’s promise to remove obstacles and make paths straight for His followers. Ndasingwa explained: "Through His sacrifice and resurrection, Jesus overcame all barriers and sins. This song is a celebration of His love and faithfulness."
Rachel Uwineza has been a cornerstone in the Rwandan gospel music scene, known for her emotive and faith-filled songs. With hits like Uwiteka Ni We Mwungeri Wanjye (released in May 2024), Thank You for Loving Me, Ku Bw’Imbabazi Zawe featuring Rene Patrick, and Baho Muri Njye, she continues to inspire countless believers.
Rachel recently expanded her family, welcoming her second child, a son, in June 2024. Reflecting on this blessing, she wrote on Instagram, "I will forever give thanks for the gift of my son. Thank you, Father, for this blessing."
Beyond music, Uwineza has devoted her life to ministry, beginning her journey in Sunday school and later as part of the Pnp Family group. Since embarking on her solo career in 2014, she has released impactful songs and worked with renowned gospel artists like Aline Gahongayire and Israel Mbonyi. She is currently finalized her album Imirimo y’amaboko ye, which features six songs, some written in collaboration with her mother.
Chryso Ndasingwa is a gospel artist whose journey has been marked by determination and faith. In May 2024, he made history as the second Rwandan gospel artist to fill BK Arena, following Israel Mbonyi. His album Wahozeho and its title track cemented his place in the industry.
Starting his music journey at 17, Chryso taught himself to play guitar and piano through YouTube tutorials. Over time, he developed a unique style, blending contemporary gospel with traditional influences. His notable songs include Ndakwihaye, Ntayindi Mana, and Wakinguye Ijuru.
Chryso’s decision to collaborate with Rachel on Nzakujya Imbere has generated excitement among fans. Their shared passion for gospel music and commitment to spreading God’s word promise to make this song a profound and inspiring anthem.
Nzakujya Imbere is a testament to both artists’ faith and talent. It highlights God’s unchanging love and His power to transform lives. As the release date approaches, anticipation grows for a song that could redefine Rwandan gospel music.
Both Rachel Uwineza and Chryso Ndasingwa aim to use their music to inspire hope, faith, and worship.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in their careers and a gift to gospel music lovers worldwide.
