Tim Godfrey is a gospel artist, songwriter, music director, speaker, and vocal instructor from Nigeria. He is popularly known for his hit song Nara, in collaboration with Travis Greene. He is also known for his other hit tracks, such as Agidigba, Dependable, and NaYou Be God.
Tim Godfrey is a renowned Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter, music director, songwriter, producer, music teacher, speaker vocal instructor, art training consultant and writer.
He received an honorary doctorate degree of fine arts, Musicology by the Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Atlanta, Georgia, with all the rights and privileges, on the 28th of October 2018. Godfrey is the founder of Rox Nation label and the convener of the annual Fearless Gospel Concert.
He’s best known for his hit song "Nara" in collaboration with Travis Greene. Godfrey has received numerous awards and nominations for his contributions to gospel music as he continues to spread his gospel message through music to the world.
Timothy Chukwudi Godfrey was born on the 26th day of August in the year 1980 to the Family of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Godfrey in Kaduna, Nigeria. He is the second born of his parents that has six (6) children. He had his primary education in Kaduna Nigeria, although he hails from Anambra State.
Tim Godfrey is the convener of the annual Fearless Gospel Concert, which has hosted several international gospel artists, including Marvin Sapp, Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Israel Houghton, JJ Hairston, Sammie Okposo and others.
In 2018, Tim Godfrey featured Travis Greene in the breakout hit song, Nara, which has earned over 140 million views on Youtube. In 2019, he featured Israel Houghton on the single, Toya and collaborated with JJ Hairston on the single Onaga off the latter’s album.
Since 2016, Tim Godfrey has been a regular feature at the Experience concert. Tim Godfrey got married on Saturday, 23 April 2022 to his fiancée Erica, whom he had proposed to on Valentine’s day.

Tim Godfrey yo grace Rwanda
Tim Godfrey will minister in Rwanda on March 1, 2025, in a grand Christian gathering, Gather 25, at BK Arena, starting from 1:00 PM. This event is organized by IF Gather, a ministry from the USA, with the aim of uniting the Body of Christ worldwide in 25 hours of worship and prayer.
Gather 25 began as a women’s conference known as IF Gather but later expanded to include all believers in Christ. Jenny, the leader of IF Gather, initiated the idea of bringing together Christians from all over the world in one connected worship experience.
This event welcomes all Christians from different denominations. To participate, attendees must register and contribute 5,000 RWF, which will support Rwandans without health insurance.
