What is next after university? What am I going to be doing after my graduation? What should I be doing right now to acquire the best opportunities? How do I find my dream internship or job? I have this great idea; how do I launch it? What are the available options for students in university, and how do I access them? What is the mindset I need to acquire these opportunities?
The list goes on and on. Although the questions may be different and require different answers, the most common denominator is these are questions students in High school, and Universities are beginning to ask themself and those around them. It is even increasing as the world is changing very rapidly.
It is during such a time that Charline Prazen Chikomo, the Founder and C.E.O. of the DUCE Leadership Initiative, an organization on a mission to bridge the gap between schools and communities, and a Consultant at Ashoka, a global organization creating a world where everyone is a changemaker, decides to honor the invitation from the University of Rwanda to deliver a public lecture, a lecture that in our view answers all those questions.
The Public lecture is set to happen on Wednesday, the 22nd of February, 2023. It’s titled OPPORTUNITY READINESS_From University into the Marketplace. In interview with Paradise.rw, Charline made it clear that students shall be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset for life outside the four corners of the classroom, the A-Z of opportunity readiness.
He also expressed his gratefulness to the university of Rwanda students and leadership, saying, "I have been on so many stages, in different countries, Rwanda Included, but this one is of more importance considering the number of students and the potential the institution has to shape the future of this great country and continent. I am excited and grateful to be part of those unlocking this potential."
