Bishop Dr Laurent Mbanda has been elected to lead the Association of Interfaith and Churches in Rwanda

Bishop, Dr. Laurent Mbanda of the Anglican Church in Rwanda, was elected to head the Rwanda inter-Religious Council/RIC, replacing Bishop Filipo Rukamba of the Catholic Diocese of Butare.

Bishop Mbanda will be assisted by the First Vice President, who is Mufti Sheikh Sindayigaya Musa who leads the religion of Islam, and the Second Vice Presidents who are Bishop Kayinamura Samuel of the Free Methodiste Church of Rwanda and Bishop Dr. Fidel Masengo of Foursquare Gospel Church in Rwanda.

The announcement thanks to the Anglican Authority in Rwanda, says that the Advisors of the President of RIC in Rwanda are Mgr Papias Musengamana of the Catholic Diocese of Byumba, Dr. Charles Mugisha and Bishop Dr. Gahungu Bunini.

Sheikh Sindayigaya Musa of Islam will be the Assistant Bishop of Mbanda

Mgr Kayinamura Samuel and Bishop Dr Masengo are members of the committee
