In a sermon delivered on May 20, 2026, Pastor Christian Gisanura spoke about the power of trusting God and working together with Him in order to experience transformation in life.
He based his teaching on Mark 10:27, where Jesus said: “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Pastor Gisanura explained that many people often question the importance of prayer, especially when they believe change depends only on their own abilities. However, he emphasized that while individuals must play their part in life, they also need to walk in partnership with God.
According to him, every transformation a person desires can only be achieved through cooperation with God, because His power makes the impossible possible.
He reminded believers that Jesus already accomplished everything on the cross, and that God’s power working within us is able to completely change our lives.
“Discover the power that is within you,” he said.
He explained that the first thing prayer does is establish a relationship between a person and God, because God desires to be involved in everything people do.
Referring to Ephesians 3:20, Pastor Gisanura said that Christ living in believers carries greater power than many people realize. He added that anything people pursue without involving God cannot bring lasting fulfillment, because God first looks at the condition of a person’s heart.
He further explained that prayer allows believers to experience God’s protection and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. According to him, the Holy Spirit helps people distinguish between good and evil and warns them before they fall into sin or make wrong decisions.
“We need the guidance of the Holy Spirit,” he said.
Pastor Gisanura stressed that there are many things people cannot overcome on their own, but when they draw closer to God, He gives them strength and ability.
He also noted that the more a person spends time with God, the more they grow spiritually and emotionally, becoming stronger in handling challenges and experiencing inner transformation.
As an example, he referred to Apostle Paul, who once admitted that he desired to do good but found evil present within him, before later declaring: “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
Pastor Gisanura explained that people who walk with God gradually leave behind their old nature and begin living a new life.
He also spoke about spiritual battles, saying that Christians need prayer in order to overcome temptations and spiritual attacks.
“There are moments when a person must fight the good fight of faith through prayer and confession, but there are also moments when one must allow God Himself to fight on their behalf,” he said.
As he concluded, Pastor Christian Gisanura described prayer as a way for believers to fellowship with God as His children, adding that a life of worship and righteousness is impossible without prayer.
He encouraged people to leave behind old ways, pursue genuine transformation, and follow it with faith, because “all things are possible with God.”
