Aline Gahongayire has been criticized by some for showing her wishes for Muslims who are fasting during Ramadan

After the worship and praise singer known as Dr. Aliga (Al: Aline ga: Gahongayire) who prays in the Christian religion called Zion Celebration Temple announced that she wishes Muslims a good time, her followers on social media continue to raise the debate and critics.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, singer Aline Gahongayire, who sings songs about Jesus Christ and calls him the Son of God, did an act praised by many and criticized by many to wish all Muslims a good time of the Holy Month of fasting during Ramadan.

In general, Muslims, although they believe that Jesus Christ existed, do not believe that he is the Son of God as Christians believe. This makes them seem that their beliefs are not compatible with what Christians believe because they are called Christians (People of Christ or those who agree to follow Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives) while Muslims treat him as other ordinary prophets.

Aline Gahongayire in raising these arguments, in a short video posted on her Instagram wall, she began by saying: “How are you? My name is Dr. Aliga or Aline Gahongayire, I love God, I sing praises to God, but God’s love prevails in me."

She went on to talk about what made her followers, who are mainly Christians and Muslims, have something to say, saying: "So now I have many friends who show me love all over the place, including my brothers, my Muslim friends."

Addressing the Muslims, he continued: “You have entered a good time of prayer. I pray for God to listen to you, you will have a good time of prayer, love will continue to grow and whatever you ask God, He will give it to you."

She added: "The times of prayer you enter are times that I respect, because prayer is life, and prayer is what we are called to do here on earth. Ramadan blessings to all of you Muslims, even God will listen, and your prayers will bring about change.”

She concluded: "God’s peace be with you and God’s love, I love you!" One who appeared to be a Christian said, “What shall we call this? Read the Bible if you believe in Christ. Next time you will tell us that you joined the Baal worshippers. Worshiping God is worshiping in truth and in the spirit, and Jesus said that he is the way, the truth and the life, so what else you will bring here is to advertise."

However, even though this one was not happy for what Dr. Aliga said, many Muslims were touched and started to say, ’If only others were like you.’ You look so good.”

Others continued to say: "The best religion is love from God," although there were those who were not afraid of saying that what she did was biased and deviated from Christian principles, which seems to associate the worship of God with Baal.

The fasting of the Holy Month of Ramadan for Islam began on Monday, March 11, 2024. It is a time to pray more, help the needy in various ways, and draw closer to Allah (God) in prayer. This period lasts for a whole month.

In this month of Ramadan, Muslims everywhere are marked by special prayers where they gather together (not all of the people in the country gather together, each mosque has its own way), fasting, in order to get closer to Allah (God).

On the last day of fasting, there is a very important festival for Muslims, and people of other religions are not excluded from certain activities. They celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the Feast of Sacrifice, which enables Muslims to share with others.
