Gospel Singer Vestine Weds Idrissa in Glamorous Ceremony, Surprises Manager and Chriss Eazy with Gifts

Gospel artist Ishimwe Vestine, known for singing alongside her sister Dorcas, was formally engaged and traditionally married to her fiancé Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo in a stunning traditional ceremony filled with joy, gifts, and high-profile guests.

The engagement and dowry ceremony took place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Intare Conference Arena. The event brought together family, friends, celebrities, and well-wishers to celebrate the couple’s milestone.

Vestine’s family expressed gratitude for the blessing she had brought upon them, praising her for uniting families through this wedding. One family elder remarked, “Be our ambassador in that family. You have been well-raised. We are still in awe of the beautiful celebration you gave us. You’ve become everything we hoped for.”

On Idrissa’s side, his family extended their appreciation to Vestine’s family for giving them a beloved bride. They stated, “To the Ishimwe family, thank you, and don’t stop giving away beautiful brides. You’ve sent her to a wonderful home. God’s Word says, ‘I know the plans I have for you.’ The Ouédraogo family is deeply grateful.”

Vestine made a grand entrance into the hall escorted by her two brothers, while her younger sister and singing partner, Dorcas Kamikazi, was among her bridal party.

Renowned MC Lion Imanzi hosted the ceremony, fluently switching between French, English, and Kinyarwanda to accommodate the multicultural audience, as many guests were from abroad.

Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo was accompanied by groomsmen, including singer Emmy Vox, comedian Samu from Zuby Vomedy, and several other friends, mostly from his home country of Burkina Faso.

The engagement was animated by the cultural troupe Inyamibwa, which brought Rwandan traditional music and dance to life. The troupe is well-known for promoting Rwandan heritage and frequently performs at weddings, events, and festivals.

Gift exchanges took place between both families, but notably, Vestine gave special gifts to her manager Murindahabi Irénée and her sister Dorcas. Murindahabi received a hat and a walking stick in recognition of his invaluable role in the musical careers of Vestine and Dorcas.

Vestine also presented gifts to members of her husband’s family, while Idrissa gifted his father-in-law and mother-in-law in appreciation for raising the woman he now calls fiancée.
In addition, Vestine honored Chriss Eazy for producing many of their music videos, Niyo Bosco for songwriting, and producer Santana Sauce for his work on many of their audio tracks.
