Maurice Ndatabaye Returns to Rwanda After 2.5 Years in the U.S. to Expand Power of the Cross Projects

Maurice Ndatabaye Kazigamyi, the CEO of Power of the Cross Ministry, a gospel music group known for its worship and praise songs in genres like Rock, has returned to Rwanda after two and a half years in the United States.

He arrived at Kigali International Airport around 9:00 p.m., where he spoke to Paradise about his journey, his plans, and the group’s future direction.

Maurice expressed deep emotion and gratitude upon returning to his homeland, describing the 20-hour flight as long but worth it.

“I missed Rwanda so much. I missed the people, and even the sky over Rwanda. I thank God that I’ve arrived safely. It’s been two and a half years since I was last here,” he said.

He also hinted at upcoming projects he is working on with his colleague Joe, an American friend who accompanied him on this trip. While the details remain confidential, Maurice shared that the work they began in the U.S. will now continue on Rwandan soil.

Regarding the group’s recent silence in terms of public music releases, Maurice clarified:
“It’s not that we haven’t been working, The Power of the Cross Ministry has been very active. We were simply preparing everything carefully before releasing it. I’m here to appreciate the team for their dedication.”

He also gave a heartfelt message to fellow worshipers:
“I love all of you, each and every one. God brought us together to serve Him, and I pray He continues to help us. This July, we’re preparing a lot and you’ll soon see the results.”

Joe: Experiencing Rwanda for the First Time
Joe, a friend and companion of Maurice, also spoke to Paradise at the airport. A resident of Washington State, USA, Joe is visiting Africa, and Rwanda, for the first time.
“The journey was long but good. I’ve always wanted to meet Rwandan people and experience their culture. Maurice is like a son to me, and we’ve worked together for a long time,” said Joe.

He emphasized his excitement to engage with locals and learn more about Rwanda’s way of life.
“I want to meet people and experience the Rwandan culture. I came to visit Maurice, and I’ll be following him wherever he goes during our stay.”

Joe confirmed they plan to stay in Rwanda for over three weeks (23 days) and are both originally from Washington State. When someone says “two hours east of where Maurice is,” it typically means they live or traveled from a location two hours east of Maurice’s area within the same state.

Power of the Cross Ministry’s Musical Impact
Power of the Cross Ministry continues to gain popularity both in Rwanda and abroad for their inspiring worship music. Known songs include:
• “Super Power”
• “Isezerano”
• “Umwami Naganze”

Their ministry extends beyond music into youth empowerment, philanthropy, and gospel outreach. With Maurice back in Rwanda and new projects underway, the group is poised for even greater impact.

This renewed collaboration and dedication among its members is a sign of promising growth, both spiritually and artistically, for Power of the Cross Ministry, and their fans can look forward to a season full of hope, inspiration, and powerful worship experiences.
