In his teaching on March 27, 2026, Pastor Christian Gisanura focused on thanking God for His love and acknowledging Him as the source of our entire life. Instead of delivering a traditional sermon, he offered a heartfelt prayer.
In this prayer, he reminded believers to trust God in their journey, to accept being led by the Holy Spirit, and to live a life that honors God in everything they do.
He emphasized the power of prayer, God’s protection in life’s battles, and the assurance that whatever is sown well will be reaped—both spiritually and in everyday life. It is a message that encourages people to keep believing, doing good, and living a life that reflects the Kingdom of God.
The Prayer:
Today, Lord, I want to pray together with you. This is not preaching—this is a prayer.
Heavenly Father, it is true, I humble myself before You. I thank You for Your love, for Your goodness, for protecting me and caring for me from the day I was born, for being my God, my Father, my everything. My heart acknowledges that everything is because of You. Where I am and where I will go—it is all You. It is not by my strength, but by Yours. Many have died, yet I am still alive.
I thank You for giving Your Son, Jesus. Among those He shed His blood for, I am included. Truly, Lord, I thank You. Through faith, You made me Your child, one among Your children. You became my source, my everything. I thank You, and I thank Your Son.
Just as I care for my children and as my parents care for me, I come close to You like a child entering the room of his father. Father, I thank You that You are the King of all times, a King who was never elected and will never be replaced.
Lord, You made me Your child; therefore, I am a prince in Your heavenly Kingdom. You know Your people and recognize the princes You have raised. That is why I am protected by heavenly armies. You are my helper and my security. Lord God, on my own I can do nothing, but with Your Kingdom, nothing is impossible. I am never alone—wherever I go, I am with You.
Help me to trust You and depend on You, for You search the mind and the heart and guide my steps. Your Kingdom surrounds me on every side, and the blood of Jesus covers me. To You be all glory and honor.
May my life glorify You in everything I do, say, and think. Let my life and my family become a song of worship that honors You. On my own, I cannot do it—it is You who enables me.
What You have done makes us love You more, speak about You, and proclaim You, telling others that there is a Kingdom surrounding us that knows us. Lord, we thank You for visiting our nation and bringing progress—this too is Your care for us.
Help Rwandans and all people across the world to give You honor. Honoring You is not just worship—it is a daily lifestyle. Let our work become a song, not just in singing, but in obedience to You.
May the fire of God surround us. Let every arrow of the enemy—poverty, loss, problems, and all kinds of attacks—find us encircled by Your burning fire. In our work, in our homes, in our thoughts and plans, surround us with Your fire. Let that fire not consume us, but destroy the works of the enemy.
Father, use us as You wish—in our jobs, where we live, in our families, among friends, in daily life, in churches, and everywhere else; let us be a blessing so that others may know You through us. The reason we are still alive is that there are things we have not yet done. Connect us to them so we may fulfill them. Lord, bless our efforts, protect us from loss, and grant us a harvest.
Fight for us in the battles we face in our work. Let the plans of the enemy be defeated. I pray for everyone wherever they are, that they may know God is intervening and showing Himself. Help us not to sow where we will not reap; where we have sown well, grant us a harvest. Let Your Spirit give us favor in our work and strength. Lord, remember where we have sown—in work, in families, in those we have taught—and grant us a harvest.
Grant us to reap where our parents have sown. Solomon reaped where David had sown; in the same way, grant us to reap—spiritually, financially, in life, and in everything. Help us do good works that our children will reap from. You said that from the beginning of the world until its end, there will be sowing and reaping, seasons of planting and seasons of harvest. Let us reap where those before us have sown.
Your Word says those who are led by the Spirit of God are Your children. Let us be led by Your Spirit in the decisions we make, in what we reject and what we accept. In prayers, in songs, and in all our work, may we be led by Your Spirit.
That Spirit, Jesus gave to us; He is the Helper sent to us. So send Him to help our children in school so they may learn well and succeed. Lord, You fought in the past—you will not stop fighting for us now.
Give us righteous wisdom that leads to progress, that opens our spiritual eyes to see where we are going and where we will arrive. Help us gain the strength to build our future. In the name of Jesus, clothe us with power. Train us to fight spiritual battles, just as You trained Jesus.
Teach us to uproot what the enemy has planted; give us faith to overcome the powers of darkness. Help us fight all our battles. Fight for Rwanda in every battle—political and others. Wherever the righteous are, I pray for them: may Your power surround them, fill them, and cover them with Your glory.
Paul said it is no longer he who lives, but Christ who lives in him. Likewise, it is no longer us who live, but You who live in us. Lord, we thank You for everyone praying with me. Hear our prayers and answer us; we will offer You a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and You will respond.
This prayer by Pastor Christian Gisanura is a call to depend on God in everything, to be led by His Spirit, and to live with the assurance that He fights for us. It encourages us to keep believing, doing good, and waiting for the harvest from what we have sown, trusting that God will never abandon us.
