Israel Mbonyi, a gospel artist known for songs like Nina Siri, revealed why he holds his concert on December 25 instead of other days. His concert, called Icyambu Live Concert, takes place every year on Christmas Day at the BK Arena in Kigali, and the 2024 event will be the third edition.
Israel Mbonyi thanked his fans for their continuous support since 2022, and mentioned that the 2024 concert will be special because it marks the 10th anniversary of his music career. He explained: “This is my 10th year in ministry, I released my first album in 2014. This year, I’ve decided to make it extraordinary and surprise my fans with things they’ve never seen before.”
He explained the reason for holding the concert on Christmas Day, a day traditionally dedicated to family gatherings. Israel Mbonyi said that Christmas is a time when people gather with their families and friends to celebrate, but by evening, the day ends like any other.
He thought, “Why not create an event where people, after their family celebrations, can come together and end their Christmas Day in a special way, worshiping God for what He has done?”
This concert, Icyambu Live Concert, is unique, with Airtel Money being a key partner in ticket sales through their Wagwani service. Mbonyi expressed his deep gratitude to Airtel Money for their support.
In closing, Israel Mbonyi expressed his love for his fans, encouraging them to buy tickets via www.ticquet.rw and join him for an unforgettable experience. The concert is expected to draw a large crowd, continuing to bring joy to Israel Mbonyi’s fans and gospel music lovers, both in Rwanda and beyond.
This concert is named Icyambu, after a song on his fourth album, and is also linked to his personal name, Mbonyicyambu Israel. He will perform some of his most popular songs like Icyambu, Nina Siri, Nita Amini, and his latest release, Uwe Hai.
