Vestine and Dorcas to Shine in Canada with “Yebo Concerts Tour” Before Releasing New Songs

Rwandan gospel music duo Vestine and Dorcas have officially announced their long-awaited international concert series titled “Yebo Concerts”, with the first stop scheduled to take place in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The event will be held at Sonrise Church Surrey, located at 5588 188 ST, Surrey, BC V3S 6S4, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with tickets going for $40 USD.

The duo, whose real names are Vestine Ishimwe and Dorcas Kamikazi, are highly acclaimed for their inspirational gospel music rooted in faith and worship. Their music career began in local church choirs before evolving into an impactful ministry with millions of views across digital platforms.

The concert tour derives its name from their viral gospel hit “Yebo (Nitawale)”, a Swahili worship anthem that has garnered over 19 million views on YouTube, making it their most streamed and widely loved song to date.

According to the artists, the word “Yebo”, meaning “Yes”, reflects a spiritual surrender and total submission to Jesus Christ. The song’s lyrics, written in Swahili, declare trust in God’s power and guidance even in times of fear, darkness, or adversity.

“We chose to name the tour after this song because it represents the heart of our message: total dependence on Jesus. And it’s a bridge for us to reach beyond the Rwandan audience to Swahili-speaking communities and global believers,” they explained.

“Yebo” was produced by MIE Music, with lyrics co-written by Niyo Bosco, Martin Mugisha, and M. Irene, and directed by Chriss Eazy. The music video features high-quality visuals and choreography under Sinta Filmz, showing the growing professionalism of gospel music in Rwanda.

This is the first time Vestine and Dorcas will headline a concert in Canada, marking a major milestone in their music ministry. Event organizers have confirmed that daycare services will be available for parents attending with children, and Click Media will be present to capture high-quality photo and video coverage of the night.

“The idea is not only to perform but to minister and connect deeply with our audience abroad,” said their manager, Murindahabi Irénée.

Further cities across Canada are under discussion, but Vancouver was chosen as the opening venue due to strong community interest and logistical readiness.

The Vancouver concert will feature songs like: Simpagarara, Adonai, Ibuye, Nahawe Ijambo, Umutaka, Iriba, Kumusaraba, Emmanuel, and of course, the hit single Yebo

Before releasing their next single titled “Usisite”, the duo is using the Yebo Concerts tour as an opportunity to share their message of hope and revival across borders.

On their official Instagram account, they teased the concert with the caption:
"Hello!! Canada 🇨🇦, the wait is over. Let’s meet, worship, praise, and dance for Jesus this October… more info ahead. USISITE"

"Usisite," which translates to "Don’t Delay", is expected to follow “Emmanuel” and is part of their ongoing mission to encourage faith and obedience to God through uplifting gospel music.

Vestine and Dorcas continue to rise as one of the most promising gospel duos from East Africa, known for their unity, vocal strength, and scripturally rooted messages. With their expanding global influence, they are building a bridge between African gospel music and international Christian communities.

“This is more than a concert, it’s ministry, it’s worship, it’s kingdom work.”
