Titus Ezra who shaped Rose Muhando's career, features Her in New Worship Track "Mungu Unanipenda"

On July 1st, 2025, a brand-new gospel song titled “Mungu Unanipenda” (which means “God Loves Me”) by Titus Band featuring renowned gospel artist Rose Muhando is set to be released. The song will premiere on Titus Band’s new official YouTube channel.

Titus Ezra Sambay, a talented artist and choir leader of the prestigious Mamajusi Choir based in Tanzania, is releasing this solo project featuring one of Africa’s gospel powerhouses, Rose Muhando.

“I personally wrote the song as a thanksgiving to God for all the good things He has done in my life,” said Titus. “I called Rose Muhando and asked her to collaborate on it, and she agreed.”

Titus wrote the entire song and describes it as carrying “a strong spiritual power,” with a deep hope that it will touch and transform many hearts.

The Relationship Between Titus and Rose Muhando: From Mentor to Collaboration

In an interview with Paradise Media, Titus revealed that his relationship with Rose Muhando goes back years. He said:
“I took her in from the village, before she had ever stepped into a studio. I taught her music for five years in Kilimanjaro—she learned everything under my guidance.”

Their strong bond and musical partnership eventually led to this collaboration on Mungu Unanipenda, which delivers a heartfelt message of gratitude to God.

Not a Choir Song, but a Solo Project

Although he leads Mamajusi Choir Moshi, Titus clarified that this project is entirely personal:
“Even though I’m the choir director, we did not record this as a choir. It’s my individual work, and the song will be released on my own YouTube channel, not on the choir’s channel.”

Mamajusi Choir: 50 Years of Ministry

Founded in 1975, Mamajusi Choir started with just 11 singers. Today, it boasts over 86 members. The group has ministered in various countries including Malawi, DR Congo, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, using music as a powerful tool for evangelism.

Titus recalled one of the most difficult moments they faced—during the filming of their song Upendo Kuu, they were involved in a serious accident. He broke his arm, and several members were badly injured. However, he affirms that God protected and strengthened them to continue the ministry.
“We went through tough trials, but God preserved us. Even though the accident was serious, we survived. And we’re still committed to our mission.”

Message Behind “Mungu Unanipenda”

The song is a powerful declaration of God’s love. Titus described it as his personal testimony—an expression of how God has been faithful in his life and has led him to use his musical gift to glorify Him.
“It’s a truly beautiful song. It will transform many hearts—I guarantee you that. God will use it mightily.”

He also extended his gratitude to the people of Rwanda and God’s servants in the country, expressing a strong desire to one day visit Kigali.
