Pastor Philemon Rudaga grew up speaking Kinyamulenge and has lived in many parts of Congo (RDC) speaks this language, in an interview with the media he said that the idea of this project to translate the Bible into Kinyamulenge has been around for 38 years, but he started thinking about it 20 years ago.

He learned about this idea when he went to Nairobi, Kenya, to visit members of their Mulenge family live there. Apostle Victor Mikebanyi explained to him about this project in 2004. He had a lot of work to convince him that it was possible, especially because Pastor Philemon did not understand it well.

The first one was explained in Kinyamulenge, he said that it was not the only one because all of the books they gave to people who came from all over the place where they have branches, came to this ceremony in the United States of America, are three books that include teaching reading and writing in Kinyamulenge. In addition, they gave them the movie of Jesus translated in Kinyamulenge.

According to him, the book of Luke is the one they started from, but it is not the only book of the Bible that they finished translating, it is the one that was first corrected and approved. The other book they have translated is the book of Acts which is not approved and the Kinyamulenge dictionary which consists of more than 2000 words.

The State of Georgia in USA, where he met with a group of collaborators including whites and three Mulenges, this man who has a wife and six children says that this is difficult project that’s reason why it has been delayed for many years.

They used to use Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Swahili, English and French Bibles, and in order to start translating them into Kinyamulenge they required them to read them all.

That was added to the need for an expert in the language the original untranslated Bible was written in, that is, mainly Hebrew and Greek, where they were able to find the text that Jesus read in the church, so that they could translate it, but following the nature of the word.

Each verse costed them 36 USD to be translated regardless of size, this makes them want to be supported because it requires a great commitment and that is why those who were given these books for free supported this work in one way or another.

The Mulenges have churches in Rwanda, in Kenya, in the United States of America where they have 100, in Europe, Asia and elsewhere.

The process of translating the entire Bible is still ongoing, and they want anyone who manages to find one of the books written in Kinyamulenge to try to read it diligently, so that their language be spoken by many, and be written in other languages used in the world.
