In his message delivered on June 19, 2026, Pastor Christian Gisanura spoke on the theme "Becoming God’s Beloved," drawing his teaching from Isaiah 43:2–5.
The Scripture, which served as the day’s devotional message, says: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, and the flames shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.
Because you are precious in my sight, honored, and I love you, I give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you." (Isaiah 43:2–5)
Pastor Gisanura began by saying, "Amen. Receive the Word of God."
He explained that God is a God of promises who remains faithful to His Word. Even when people fail Him, He never fails them. He reminded believers that God has promised to remain with His children through every circumstance, whether they face trials, danger, or difficult seasons.
Quoting the passage, he said: "When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. Whether you go through hardship, trials, or challenges, nothing will overcome you because God is with you. You will go through those situations, you will see them, and you will pass through them—but always remember that you are God’s beloved."
Pastor Gisanura explained that when God becomes your personal God, He takes responsibility for guiding you, protecting you, and providing solutions for every situation you face.
He emphasized that God is the Creator, able to bring into existence what does not exist. He reminded the congregation how God made a way through the Red Sea for the Israelites, brought water out of a rock, and provided manna for them in the wilderness.
He also shared a personal testimony from his own home. He recounted a time when his family had gone for a long period without water. He asked his children to pray for water, assigning each of them a different place to pray. After they prayed, water began to flow again.
He said: "I told my children, ’Pray that water will come.’ I could hear each of them praying in different places. Then I suddenly heard the sound of water flowing. I immediately opened the taps, and the water was there. God created a solution. What had been closed was opened."
He encouraged parents to teach their children to pray and to trust God with the kind of simple, genuine faith that children naturally possess.
Reflecting on the words, "Because you are precious in my sight, honored, and I love you," Pastor Gisanura said that believers should strive to live in a way that pleases God so they may become His beloved, because God protects and delivers those He loves.
He said: "Strive to become God’s beloved, so that everything you do and everything you say will touch His heart."
He added that God is able to create solutions where people least expect them, enlarge their work, and bless them beyond their expectations.
In conclusion, Pastor Christian Gisanura urged Christians to trust God as their personal God, rely on Him in every season of life, and strive to become His beloved so that they may walk in His promises and enjoy His divine protection.
