The President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame and his assistant Jeanette Kagame hosted the artists living in Bugesera, especially those from Karumuna, as he had promised them on July 6, 2024, when he campaigned in that District.
This information was revealed through a message that was poste on the social media used by President Paul Kagame. The message reads: "This Sunday in Kibugabuga, President Kagame and First Lady Jeanette Kagame hosted several artists l who reside in Karumuna, fulfilling a promise he made a week ago during the RPF Presidential rally in Bugesera. The president gifted each of the artists a cow.”
Inviting these artists is a request from Ingabire Butera Jeanne known as Butera Knowless in art, when she was given a speech during Paul Kagame’s campaign. After asking him to visit him and her fellow artists living in Bugesera, Paul Kagame replied that it was his wish to invite them to perform, saying: As my wish, I wanted to find time to invite you."
After 9 days agreed to invite them, he kept his promise, on the 16th, artists from Bugesera visited him where he lives in that district, especially those from Karumuna near Nyabarongo towards Nyamata City.
Those artists who had a good time with Paul Kagame and performed for him in their songs include Knowless Butera, Producer Clement, Tom Close, Nel Ngabo, Platin P and several others. They all given a cow.
Butera Knowless, who came up with this idea and asked President Paul Kagame to visit him as an artiste, because they live in the same district, she was happy with this gift, saying to Paul Kagame: "Forever Grateful Your Excellency."
