In Rwanda there is a festival to praise God for the many things he has done for Rwanda called ’Rwanda Shima Goda Festival’. At the moment, the latest news about this meeting is that the date has already been changed.
On Wednesday 04 September 2024, the PEACE PLAN that is organizing this festival announced these changes, saying that they "came suddenly". This meeting, which was scheduled for September 15, 2024, has been moved to September 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM. However, the venue has not changed, it is still at Amahoro Stadium.
This festival, which is going to be held after 5 years, is a great opportunity for Rwandans to gather together and thank God "for the many good things the Country has achieved in the last 30 years after the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994".
This event will bring together government officials, private leaders and religious leaders and everyone who will wish, in thanking God for the peace, security, and economic development that Rwanda has today.
The most popular singers in Gospel music announced that they are happy to participate in this festival and the news is that some of them like Israel Mbonyi will sing to praise God for the many good things God has done for Rwanda in the last 30 years.
Israel Mbonyi said, "After 30 years of liberation, all Rwandans have special thanks. I invite you all to come and praise God and tell God that we are grateful for the good work He has done after all 30 years. I will be there , and other extraordinary artists and servants of God from around the world. Come, all Rwandans, we will gather as one, let’s talk about God’s goodness and pray for our country."
PEACE PLAN RWANDA which has organized this festival, is the Christian Community that unites Christian Churches. They expressed that they have organized this year’s festival to celebrate the good things God has done for Rwandans because "2024 marks 30 years of peace and extraordinary development in Rwanda".
Archbishop Dr. Laurent Mbanda, Director of THE PEACE PLAN Rwanda, continued: "It is a year in which Rwanda has had presidential and parliamentary elections that were held in peace and joy. In this context, we have many reasons to thank God."
Entry to the event will be free, and all members of the public are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event."
Rwanda Shima Imana 2024 was organized in collaboration with PEACE PLAN and Rwanda Leaders Fellowship. Amb. Dr. Charles Murigande is its Coordinator. PEACE PLAN RWANDA organizes this festival, which was founded by a friend of Rwanda, Pastor Rick Warren, who leads the Saddleback Church in the United States.
