President Kagame is going to receive the Supreme Honorary Certificate

President Paul Kagame is in South Korea where he participated in the Summit connecting this country with the African continent, he will also visit one of the leading universities in this country and in the world, where he will be awarded an honorary doctorate.

President Paul Kagame arrived in Seoul, South Korea, this Sunday, May 02, 2024, and participated in the Korea-Africa Summit, which will bring together African Heads of State and Government, as well as the leadership of this country.

President Paul Kagame, who participated in this meeting, is expected to visit Yonsei University, as well as receive an honorary doctorate in Public Policy and Management.

Yonsei University, one of the private universities in South Korea, was founded in 1885, and is among the top three universities in the country, and has 178 research institutes.

In this meeting that will be held from Tuesday 04 to Wednesday 05 June 2024, President Paul Kagame will give a speech when it will be officially opened, where he will be with other Heads of State and Government.

It is a meeting that will be chaired by the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, and President El Ghazouanu of Mauritania who is also the head of the Council of Heads of State of the United African Union.

In this meeting, which is held for the first time, it will also include the leaders of South Korea and African countries, where they will discuss the development of cooperation between this country and the African continent.

The theme of the conference is “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity.” We believe, it is the joining of forces in determining the future, which provides the joint economic growth and sustainable development.

In this meeting, the Heads of State, the leaders of the higher institutions, the leaders of the Business Centers and economic experts, will discuss various topics, such as industrial development, business expansion, food security, the level of mining, as well as addressing the effects of climate change.
