Jesus Is the Source of Rescue — Pastor Christian Gisanura

On February 21, 2026, Pastor Christian Gisanura taught that Jesus is the true source of Rescue, emphasizing that faith and trust in God are what bring peace, righteousness, and the fulfillment of the heart’s desires.

He explained that many people today rely on worldly strength—education, money, influential connections, or their own abilities. However, all these have limits. Human strength fades, the heart grows weary, and plans can fall apart.

But the one who trusts in God builds on an unshakable rock. When a person chooses to place their hope in God, they change the direction of their life—shifting from dependence on what is visible to trusting in the unseen God who accomplishes great things.

Psalm 37 shows the path of a person determined to trust in the Lord: delighting in Him, committing their way to Him, and waiting for Him patiently. Delighting in the Lord is not just about words; it means making God your greatest joy and priority in life.

Just as children delight in candy, a believer should delight in God, making Him the source of true joy. When God becomes your greatest delight, He also becomes the source of answers.

There are things a person prays for knowingly, but there are also deep desires within the heart that one may not fully understand—yet God, who searches the heart, sees them and grants even more than one imagined.

Committing your way to the Lord means giving Him full control of your life. It means placing Him at the center of your plans, desires, and challenges. It does not mean you stop thinking; rather, it means allowing your reasoning to be guided by faith.

Human understanding has limits, but faith opens new paths. When a person places their plans into God’s hands and truly trusts Him, God fulfills them in His own time and in His own way.

Faith is the foundation of righteousness. A person is made righteous before God through faith—not merely by following laws. Obedience that does not flow from love and faith cannot produce complete righteousness.

Some people avoid wrongdoing out of fear of punishment, but true righteousness comes from love for God and a decision to honor Him. When faith becomes the source of your actions, your life is transformed.

Being still and waiting on the Lord requires uncommon strength. No one can truly wait without faith. Waiting is not laziness; it is a decision to believe that God is working even when you cannot see how. When someone rushes into wrong plans because of impatience, they reveal a lack of trust.

But when one believes, they remain calm and accept that God’s timing is best. This keeps them from choosing dishonest paths or making hasty decisions that could destroy them.

There is also a powerful truth about obedience: it is not just hearing, but hearing and putting into practice. While people are used to the idea that the young obey the elders, God also responds to His children in a unique way—He listens to their prayers and acts upon what they ask.

When your faith is complete, it removes anxiety. Worry weakens confidence, but when trust grows strong, peace takes over.

The life of someone who chooses to trust in God is not without trials—but it is never without deliverance.

Jesus is the source of salvation because He turns the impossible into possible, gives strength to wait, fulfills the desires of the heart, and reveals the righteousness of those who trust in Him like the brightness of day.

When a person makes Him their greatest delight, He becomes the source of life, lasting peace, and enduring victory.
