Gospel artists James Rugarama [James], Daniella Mukiza [Daniella], and John B Singleton will be ministering together in two concerts across different states in the United States.
The concerts, titled "A Night of Worship", are annual events organized by the AfroHub music company, which supports Rwandan artists in performing in the U.S. and other countries. The company also organizes other events such as festivals that assist various artists.
This year’s concerts will take place on December 22, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona, and then continue in Dallas, Texas, on December 25, 2024. Tickets are already available for purchase via the website (http://www.eventbrite.com).
The event is planned to help Rwandans and other residents of those states close out 2024 and usher in 2025. Ernesto, one of the founders of AfroHub, who organized the concerts, said, "This is our second time organizing these concerts, and this year we will be ministering with James, Daniella, and Singleton.
We call this event ‘A Night of Worship’, which is something we do every year. However, last year, Singleton was supposed to perform, but he couldn’t because of an urgent trip to Rwanda. He was the only one who couldn’t make it, while the others performed as planned. That’s why we wanted him to join us this year."
James, Daniella’s husband, explained: "The concerts we are doing in the U.S. are focused on worshiping God through the songs He has placed in our hearts, and on connecting with our brothers and sisters in Christ in a meaningful way."
James and Daniella, who have been in the gospel music for four years, began their relationship in 2008 or 2009. They both moved to Uganda in 2012 for studies, where James studied International Relations and Daniella pursued a degree in Accounting. In 2015, they decided to marry, and since then, they have been working together in music, with popular songs such as Mpa Amavuta, N’ubu ni ho Ndi, Isezerano, and others.
John Singleton Byiringiro, who has a visual impairment, is a multi-talented artist based in the U.S. He is skilled in playing both guitar and piano. Known for songs like Rukundo, Akagezi, Iyo Utegetse, Ndashima, and many more, Singleton hails from Nyundo, Rubavu District, in the Western Province of Rwanda.
His collaboration with James and Daniella on the same stage is expected to delight the audience, as they will be performing as talented artists.
