Gospel singer Eric Israel Mbonyicyambu popularly known as Israel Mbonyi has arrived in Kenya where he is going to perform a concert he has been preparing for Kenyans for days.
A video broadcast by the Kenyan media channel Sauti TV showed Israel Mbonyi being welcomed in Kenya, where he has many fans who have given him the new name of Nina Siri Hitmaker because he became famous in a song he made in Swahili called Nina Siri, the song which has been viewed more than 56 million times and of course Kenyan are predominantly.
After the video on Sauti TV, he reappeared in a video posted on his Instagram page when he arrived at the Ulinzi Sport Stadium where the concert will be held, and ended with a message to Kenyans saying: “Hello Kenyans? We have arrived (at your place), see you on Saturday.”
Saturday will be the tenth, Israel Mbonyi will perform in Kenya on that date in the month of August 2024, at the Ulinzi Sport Stadium in Nairobi.
The Kenyans welcomed him, because they had been waiting for him for a long time. Many sent him a message of welcome, saying, "Welcome to our home in Kenya." Before going to this country, Israel Mbonyi used a lot of energy, releasing many Swahili songs including Heri Taifa which is his latest release, Yeriko and Yanitosha.
Not only that he did after announcing that he is going to perform in Kenya, he also had songs in Swahili that made him known, whether new ones he made like Nina Siri, Nitaamini, Sikiliza, and those he translated in Swahili from Kinyarwanda like Malengo ya Mungu, Amenisamehe, … These songs will allow him to sing word for word with Kenyans.
