Israel Mbonyi, who is known by many as an artist who sings the Gospel, did not win the trophy at the "African Entertainment Awards USA 2024" which was launched in the United States of America for the 10th time.

The awards were presented on Saturday night, November 9, 2024, at the Hilton Hotel in New York City. It has brought together celebrities of various kinds, be it models, artists, those who have connections with the Politic for the promotion of art and culture and others.

These awards were given in 45 categories. The Ben from Rwanda who is famous for worshiping songs including ’Thank You, Ndaje’, ’and others’ although he usually sings secular songs, he won the award for the best artist in the East, South Africa Region and North Africa (Best Male Artist - East/South/North Africa).

Apart from The Ben from Rwanda, these awards were contested by Israel Mbonyi and Okkama and Nkotanyi Fleury who did not win a single trophy.

These awards are organized to inspire African artists and support their work. It is combined with the event to showcase fashion, to show the culture of each country, with the overall aim of promoting the cultural industry of each country.

Organizers say that the awards have become a good platform to showcase the talents of top artists in Africa, as well as on those who are rising. During the presentation of these awards, singers were also invited, in order to warm up the participants of this event.
