Murungi Aimee Angel is a young Rwandan woman living in Kigali City, Kimihurura. She is a tech-savvy girl who is a Christian who prays at Grace Room Ministry led by Pastor Julienne Kabanda Kabirigi.

Technology is in her blood as she holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science in Business Information Technology from Gitwe Seventh Day Adventist University.

Karungi also holds a Master’s degree from East Africa University. She graduated from high school in 2015, and from university in 2019. She then pursued a Master’s.

In Rwanda, she worked in IT at CHUB (Center Hospital University Butare), now she is working at OSHIL LDT where they do technology projects, organize various Events on videos and sounds, and are working at Kicukiro Building Innovation.

Angel Karungi is currently in China at the International Conference on Technology "2024 Product Manager Training Program International Class" organized by the ITC company, which aims to create innovations based on technology (Trust Creation).

It is an important conference attended by about 105 people from 34 countries on different continents. It started on Sunday March 24, 2024 until Friday March 29, 2024. It was another series that brought together more than 500 CEOs from different countries.

Angel Karungi, the first Rwandan to participate in the meeting, told medias: "It made me happy as a girl to see myself in a place where 34 countries from different continents gathered, then being a Rwandan woman was an advantage because it made me put in more effort like the first time."

She said that she was very happy to introduce her country, Rwanda, as there were many who told her that it was the first time they had heard of Rwanda and there were those who confused it with Luanda - the capital of Angola. She was also happy to receive the award.

Aimee Angel, who is Angel Karungi, says that she gained a lot from this useful meeting that will help her implement her projects. "I benefited from ideas for my projects, the ICT innovation market, the cooperation agreement with ITC and deep knowledge of technology," she said.

Angel Karungi said that she knew the news that there was a meeting that was going to be held in China, where they will be training about technology, so she decided to do the examination and to present her projects. Finally her projects were accepted and she started to prepare herself how she will travel there.

This girl, a scientist in the field of technology, immediately wanted a ticket and other basic things, except the meals and the accommodation because they are in the responsibility of the organizers of this conference. She said "I did the examination and passed, they appreciated my projects and sent me an invitation letter".

Angel Karungi said that her projects gave her the opportunity to participate in this international conference where she raised the flag of Rwanda.

It is a technology that makes it easier for Rwandans to buy electricity because normally when you buy electricity, they give you a token that you put in Cash Power, but this Karungi method, it will not be needed. You will start to use it as soon as you buy it without writing anything in Cash Power.

She said, "Another project is Sofia’s system that will help people who are deaf or blind, a way to guide them to the doctor, including machines that speak at least English, French and Kinyarwanda and show videos".

She explains that it would help the blind to get quick medical services, because there are usually people who have difficulty seeing a guide and being helped by a doctor. It is a project that has been highly praised by the ITC, which organizes the conference, and made her to be given the best project award.

This girl says that if her project gets sponsors, it would help Rwanda as a country that is developing in technology because it would speed up services, there would be a reduction in costs, efficient use of time, keeping up with the times and providing good services.

After leaving this meeting, the main thing she is going to do when she arrives in Rwanda is to continue her projects and reach out to some of the companies such as the electricity power, where there is a complement to ’Data information’. She asked the youth to love "the development and to take part as the owners of the future of Rwanda and to work as people who respect God in their work".

ITC was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, China. It has 4 office buildings, 6 R&D centers and 5 factories. The main reason for R&D is the production capacity, where they provide customers with reliable products of good quality and delivered on time.
