Worship artists Alicia and Germaine continue to make remarkable strides in the gospel music scene with the release of their latest music video titled "Uri Yo" — a song written by the talented singer-songwriter Niyo Bosco, who recently announced his permanent transition from secular to gospel music.
Known for their inspirational songs such as "Urufatiro," "Rugaba," "Wa Mugabo," and "Ihumure," Alicia and Germaine dropped "Uri Yo" on the morning of Thursday, June 5, 2025. The video was directed by Big Deal, and the audio production was handled by Popieeh. The song was a collaborative writing effort between Niyo Bosco, Alicia, and Germaine.
Despite being in the music industry for just one year, the duo has captured the hearts of many. Their growing popularity was crowned by winning their first-ever award for Best Gospel Artist at the Rubavu Music Awards, held on May 24, 2025. With this momentum, they are now preparing to release more new music, including their debut album.
In an interview with Paradise, Alicia shared the deeper meaning behind "Uri Yo": “This is a song that was born from a deep spiritual moment. It carries a powerful message that we believe everyone needs to hear. God inspired this song, and we felt strongly that we needed to share it.”
Ufitimana Alicia and Ufitimana Germaine are young sisters from the Western Province of Rwanda, specifically Rubavu District. They are active members of the ADEPR Ruhangira Church. Their musical journey began with the release of their debut song "Urufatiro" in 2024. Since then, they have become widely recognized voices in Rwandan gospel music.
