Emmanuel Bikorimana popularly known as ’Bikem Wa Yesu’ has released a cover of the song titled ’Hari Umwami Wa Kera (There Is An Ancient King)’, which is a song found in songs to please God at Number 419.
Bikem Wa Yesu who covered this song, is a young man from the ADEPR Remera church, who became famous through various interviews he does on YouTube. He is a good analyst and is loved by many, especially those who follow Iyobokamana TV.
Although Bikem became known as a news analyst, he also never went far from music, because he liked to listen to different singers, promote children’s talents, cover old songs, and is a piano teacher all over the world, because teaches music through technology (online).
This Country music singer, talking about his goal for the next five years, said: "My goal in this work is not only mine but I share it with many others who share redemption, because we are all called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we have the responsibility to bring it to the ends of the earth.”
Emmanuel says that when he looks at the songs many Christians sing, he finds that they don’t know what they mean for them, most of them sing the but do not receive spiritual changes, because they do not live in the life of the songs they are singing.
"That’s why I want to give my contribution to teaching and revealing the history of these songs, so that a person will sing the song knowing exactly the reason for the song, who wrote it, and the times the singer was in. Then if we sing a song knowing its origin, it will make us sing more than just hearing its music and the taste of the voice."
He added: “I want the songs in the book to turn into the church life we live in, because they are composed of the original Gospel that is not mixed and does not get old. In at least five years I hope that Christians will be familiar with the history and originality of over 150 different hymns.”
Bikem Wa Yesu says that another project he wants to do and has started is to bring back to the church the originals of old chorus and other popular songs to be used in evangelism.He said, "In the next five years, at least 240 old hymns and hymns used in evangelism will be produced, and these hymns or hymns chorus will be being used in different churches."
