Led by Evangelist Dana Morey from the United States, the event was organized by A Light to the Nations, a ministry operating across Africa under the leadership of Pastor Ian Tumusiime.

The crusade was more than just a large gathering, it was a movement of hope, healing, and salvation. While the central crusade was held in Bweyale, satellite crusades were conducted within a 60-kilometer radius, drawing thousands more to witness the Gospel through large outdoor screens and live broadcasts. People stood for hours, braving intense sun and unpredictable rain, to hear the message of Jesus Christ.

Evangelism with a Mission
Evangelist Dana Morey, known for his passionate and direct preaching, arrived in Bweyale quietly. Despite the lack of publicity, hundreds lined the streets to welcome him. The excitement was palpable as people from various tribes, languages, and walks of life gathered with open hearts and high expectations.

“Our goal is not just to preach, but to prepare the local church, train counselors, sound the trumpet of prayer, and leave a legacy of transformation,” said Morey. “This is about ownership and empowerment.”

In a symbolic and culturally resonant moment, a four-footed trophy, a live cow, was awarded to winners of a local soccer match, reflecting the ministry’s approach to holistic outreach by combining sports with evangelism to reach new communities.

Deliverance and Miracles
Throughout the crusade, the presence of God was evident. Powerful messages challenged listeners to confront sin and turn to righteousness. On Day Two, Evangelist Morey delivered a compelling message on the destructive power of sin and the urgent need for repentance, echoing Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death.”

Many responded with tears, raising their hands, kneeling, and confessing Jesus as Lord. The sick were healed, the blind received sight, the deaf heard, tumors vanished, and emotional chains were broken. One recurring theme of the messages was the powerful image of Jesus knocking at the door of the heart, a call that stirred the souls of thousands.

A Grand Finale Like No Other
The final day of the crusade was marked by joy and spiritual breakthrough. People withstood heat, stood in muddy fields, and overcame logistical challenges just to hear the Word of God. Satellite crusades mirrored the main event, with crowds watching in real-time from rural towns and villages.

“This has never happened in Bweyale before,” said a local pastor. “We have hosted meetings, but nothing of this scale or spiritual impact.”

Testimonies poured in, families restored, bodies healed, and souls saved. The sense of unity was overwhelming as churches came together across denominations, and locals began to take ownership of what God was doing in their town.

Looking Ahead
With this wave of revival behind them, A Light to the Nations is now preparing for its next event in Lugazi, Uganda, from July 11–13, 2025. The ministry continues to call on believers around the world to support these efforts through prayer and partnership.

“The miracle is not just in the healing of bodies but in the eternal transformation of hearts,” said Evangelist Dana Morey. “Uganda is being changed, one soul at a time.”
