Bruce Melodie, a secular music artist, shared the reason why his song with Meddy, which is a gospel song, is not featured on his album.
In an interview with the media, he explained that not everything one wishes for always comes to fruition, especially when it comes to creating and selecting songs for an album. He had hoped that the song he did with Meddy would be included on his album, but it didn’t happen.
The main reason he gave was that the song with Meddy was not finished when he was finalizing his album. He said, "The song is ready, but it is not on the album. Meddy is a major artist, and he has a lot going on, just like I do, but the song will be released."
After Meddy turned towards gospel music and became an evangelist, he became involved in various activities, including concerts and Nights of Worship in the United States and current ones in Canada this December.
These commitments have kept him busy, just as Bruce Melodie has been engaged in numerous projects, such as performances in Rwanda, Canada, and upcoming concerts in Kenya, along with working on his album and releasing music videos. All of these factors have led to scheduling conflicts, preventing the song with Meddy from being completed and released in time for the album.
Bruce Melodie expressed hope that the song will eventually be finished, saying, "Due to both of our busy schedules, we’ll finish the song when we can." In short, once they both have time, they will work on it.
If the song had made it onto the album, it would have been the second gospel song on his album. Another song titled Nzaguha Umugisha is on the album as track 18 in the bonus tracks section.
As he explained, his album is for everyone, which is why he named it Colorful Generation. He said, "Colorful represents a mixture of colors, meaning that whatever kind of song you want, no matter who you are, you can find something for yourself in it." Even those who enjoy gospel music have their own place in it.
This is a song he produced himself, as he once worked as a producer. He also took the opportunity to reiterate his belief, saying, "Every time I try to create a song, I find myself making a gospel one."
In addition to this, during the press conference held at Kigali Universe on December 13, 2024, he also mentioned his goal to focus on songs that promote the gospel message in his old age, which is his main objective.
