Your Beginning and Your End Is God — Pastor Christian Gisanura

On March 25, 2026, Christian Gisanura returned to the theme, “Your beginning is God, and your end is God,” in a teaching that emphasized God as the source of life and the ultimate direction of humanity.

In human life, there is a profound truth that people often forget: everything they have comes from somewhere, and it will ultimately return to a source.

As a person achieves success, gains wisdom, strength, and accomplishments, they may begin to see themselves as the source of it all. However, teachings based on the Holy Scriptures reveal that God is the source of everything—the beginning and the end.

This truth is clearly seen in the testimony of Job, a man who demonstrated perseverance and unwavering faith despite severe trials. In the Book of Job, it is written:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” (Job 1:20–21)

These words reveal an undeniable truth: a person brings nothing into the world. No wisdom, no strength, no plans, and no possessions. Even the ability to work, think, and take care of oneself is received from God during the course of life.

Pastor Christian Gisanura explains that “being naked,” as mentioned by Job, is not only about lacking physical clothing, but also about entering the world without knowledge or ability.

A child is born unable to sit, walk, or speak; all these are learned over time. This shows that God is the source of the wisdom and strength a person acquires.

The real problem begins when a person disconnects from that source. When they believe they are the source, they begin to live independently of God, leading to spiritual and overall emptiness. Yet God remains an unfailing source—constantly giving, regardless of whether a person draws near to Him or not.

God continues to care for a person from childhood to adulthood, even in difficult times. He provides peace, joy, and all that is needed, even when people ignore Him. That is why one should draw near to Him and honor Him, for He is the source of all life.

Even though some people speak about God for personal gain or act contrary to what they preach, this should not discourage those who seek Him. Even Satan once quoted Scripture while tempting Jesus Christ, yet his intentions were not good.

However, this does not change the truth about God. A person should focus on the source itself, not on the behavior of those who misrepresent it.

Jesus Christ also taught that God must come first in a person’s life. He said: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:29–30)

He continued by emphasizing the importance of loving others: “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31)

This shows that God must take the first place in human life, for He alone is Lord. Whatever captures a person’s heart, strength, and mind becomes their master—and can take the place meant for God.

Life has an end. Everything people pursue—wealth, honor, achievements—may last for a time, but eventually comes to an end. That is why one must be careful about what they prioritize and consider whether it draws them closer to God or pulls them away.

In concluding his message, Pastor Christian Gisanura emphasized that a person’s beginning is God, and their end is also God. Everything they have comes from Him, and He should guide their life. Understanding and accepting this truth is a step toward a purposeful life, grounded in the unfailing source—God.
