Young men, do not date girls on Sundays because they are disguised – Pastor Aloys Uwakarema

On January 19, 2026, at ADEPR Gatenga, Pastor Aloys Uwakarema urged Christians to live a consistent and visible faith in daily life and to serve God faithfully while there is still time.

On January 19, 2026, while ministering at ADEPR Gatenga, Pastor Aloys Uwakarema from ADEPR Cyahafi Church, Muhima Parish, delivered a powerful teaching focused on practical Christianity that is visible in everyday life, urging believers to live consistently both inside and outside the church.

Preaching from John 9:4, which says, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work,” Pastor Uwakarema emphasized that true Christianity is not seasonal and does not depend on favorable circumstances.

He taught that no one can be a Christian in good times and stop being one in hard times, stressing that faith must remain firm at all times. According to him, the greatest miracle of all is accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Once a person truly receives Jesus, they gain complete spiritual security and the assurance of eternal life.

“When Jesus enters a man, his wife knows. When He enters a woman, young men know. When He enters a businessperson, colleagues know. When He enters a marriage, it becomes evident. When He enters a funeral, like in Jairus’ house, His presence is revealed,” he said.

Pastor Uwakarema explained that a true Christian does not need to announce their faith, because people naturally recognize it through character and conduct. Just as a wound attracts flies, one’s lifestyle reveals who they truly are.

He added that immoral behavior is easily detected, just as genuine Christianity is recognized not only by people but also in the spiritual realm. Criminals, immoral individuals, and dishonest people tend to avoid true Christians, while authorities and customers can identify integrity in a believer’s life.

The pastor taught that Christianity must affect every part of a person’s body and life, from the head to the feet, thoughts, speech, actions, appearance, and behavior. He stressed that faith should extend to clothing, personal presentation, the home environment, the bed one sleeps on, and even the workplace.

Addressing modern trends, Pastor Uwakarema cautioned women against excessive and provocative dressing in church services, reminding them that modesty is part of Christian testimony. He urged believers to ensure that their appearance reflects their faith.

He criticized the habit of appearing holy only inside church while living differently outside. Using a practical example, he advised young men not to rush into relationships based on appearances seen on Sundays, explaining that many people dress and present themselves in ways that do not reflect who they truly are.

“That is why I advise young men not to date on Sundays,” he said. “Many girls disguise themselves with makeup and appearance. Visit her during the week, at home, in her daily environment, that is when you will see the real person and her true beauty.”

He concluded by calling on believers to allow God to visit and transform their lives completely, reminding them that the apostles were identified as followers of Christ because they lived and acted like Him.

As darkness approaches, a time when no one will be able to work, Pastor Uwakarema urged Christians to take John 9:4 seriously and to serve God faithfully while there is still time.
