What's going on in Uganda before Ev. Dana Morey's Luwero and Mubende Mega Crusades

Today in Uganda, Dana Morey’s ministry, Light to the Nations, is ministering and preaching people in minor crusades. From March 21-23, Luweero will host the first of two major Gospel Celebrations crusades. The mission will move to Mubende from March 28-30.

Uganda is experiencing a powerful spiritual awakening as Evangelist Dana Morey and his team from A Light to the Nations bring the Gospel to the heart of Africa. Known for his passion for spreading the Good News, Dana Morey has launched the 2025 Uganda Mission, reaching lives in Central Uganda through transformative outreach events.

The Mission Kicks Off in Luweero

The mission began with great enthusiasm in Greater Luweero, where Evangelist Morey and his team were warmly received by local pastors and communities. Grounded in the Great Commission from Mark 16:15-20, this mission has already witnessed thousands responding to the Gospel, turning to Jesus, and putting their trust in Him.

"And He said unto them, ‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.’” (Mark 16:15-16)
From March 21-23, Luweero hosted the first of two major Gospel Celebrations. The mission will then move to Mubende from March 28-30, ensuring that even more communities hear the Word of God.

A Strategic Plan for Greater Impact
Every outreach by A Light to the Nations is marked by careful planning and collaboration. In Mubende, the team met with key stakeholders to align on crusade goals and identify ways to maximize impact. These efforts ensure that each event brings hope, healing, and salvation to those in need.

Testimonies from the mission include:
• The sick receiving healing and restoration.
• Those in despair finding renewed hope.
• Sinners experiencing salvation.
• The lonely encountering the love of Christ.

School and Truck Outreaches: Reaching the Next Generation

A significant part of the mission involves School Outreaches and Truck Evangelism, which have been welcomed by communities. Even non-Christian schools have opened their doors wider than ever before, allowing the Gospel to reach thousands of students. Many young people are hearing the message of salvation and surrendering their lives to Christ.

Truck outreaches have also drawn large crowds, where onlookers, captivated by the Gospel, have responded with faith. Volunteers have stepped forward in great numbers, eager to serve, evangelize, and mobilize others for the upcoming crusades.

Confronting Spiritual Strongholds
As the Gospel spreads, the team has encountered both spiritual opposition and strongholds of religion. Some communities are deeply rooted in belief systems that either deny the power of God or openly oppose Christian teachings. However, the team remains steadfast in prayer, trusting in God’s power to break chains and bring freedom.

Matthew 11:12 reminds us:
"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and the violent take it by force."

The Church’s Response: Unity and Mobilization
Churches in Luweero and Mubende have responded with overwhelming support. Pastors have mobilized their congregations, and volunteers are eagerly preparing for the Gospel Celebrations. The first Sunday in each location has been dedicated to fellowship with local churches, strengthening relationships, and encouraging unity.

In addition, women’s meetings have gathered believers from various denominations, breaking down barriers and uniting in the mission to reach others for Christ.

The Call to Salvation
With the urgent message: “Now is the time, and the time is now for your salvation,” Evangelist Dana Morey and his team continue to invite people to embrace the freedom found in Jesus.

As John 8:36 says:
"If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

Upcoming Gospel Celebrations
• Luweero: March 21-23, 2025
• Mubende: March 28-30, 2025

With unwavering faith and dedication, A Light to the Nations continues to impact Uganda through evangelism, church mobilization, and strategic outreach efforts. During minor crusades, people in Luweero are being healed in all corners!
