Uganda: Students in Soroti and Busia lead by example in embracing the Gospel ahead of aLN gatherings

In the districts of Soroti and Busia in Uganda, students and teachers have been deeply engaged in studying the Word of God through the powerful evangelistic work carried out by the organization A Light to the Nations.

The organization, A Light to the Nations (aLn Africa Ministries), has long been preparing major evangelistic crusades set to take place in October 2025.

From October 9th to 12th in Soroti, and from October 16th to 19th in Busia, the main gatherings will take place after months of training churches and carrying out charitable activities aimed at transforming hearts and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Prior to these main crusades, teams of evangelists have focused their efforts on teaching and reaching students across various schools. They have encouraged youth to focus on their studies and to trust God in their life journeys.

The organization’s leader, Evangelist Dana Morey, shared a message on their Facebook page:
“We are passionate about helping students realize that God is the foundation of their dreams, that Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end, and that trusting Him will help them achieve their goals.”

On their page, they wrote:
“The highly anticipated chapter of our last mission in Uganda is here, to take place in Soroti from October 9th to 12th, and in Busia from October 16th to 19th.

We eagerly awaited the reopening of schools, and now that they have opened, we have begun reaching out to them with a powerful message: focus on your studies, and if you want your dreams to come true, place your trust in God through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the beginning and the end, and knows your start and finish.

We are very happy to see students praying, accepting, and receiving Jesus as their teacher, recognizing His role in their lives early on.

As Jesus said: ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
This outreach to students involves visiting schools, sharing the gospel, giving gifts such as sports balls, and encouraging them to know Jesus early.

In recent days, Gospel Trucks have been traveling through towns and villages, delivering the message to many people.

Despite challenges such as the removal of promotional banners for the crusades, the aLN organization remains undeterred and continues to encourage people to accept the gospel.

In recent weeks, training for church leaders and volunteers has yielded encouraging results. The aLn Academy 2025 trainings aim to equip leaders with experience and leadership skills, which are crucial for transforming families and churches across East Africa.

Overall, evangelistic activities in Soroti and Busia are showing positive changes, especially among school youth, many of whom are committing themselves to Jesus as teacher and Savior.

These crusades are expected to play a significant role in transforming people’s lives, promoting peace and unity within Uganda’s broader community, and helping people clearly understand the good news of Jesus Christ.
