Micomyiza Aimée Releases “Ikamba ry'Abanesheje,” Written by Her Late Brother

The worship and praise singer Micomyiza Aimée, who lives in Norway, has released a new song titled “Ikamba ry’Abanesheje” (The Crown of the Overcomers), written by her brother who has passed away.

Ikamba ry’Abanesheje is a song that carries a strong message of perseverance and continued faith in God during difficult times. It is based on biblical passages from 2 Timothy 4:8 and Revelation 2:10. This is a message Micomyiza Aimée hopes will reach many people and help them begin the year 2026 with renewed hope.

Micomyiza Aimée has so far released three songs: Urwandiko (which translates to “The Letter”, a collaboration with Apostle Bisengo Paul), Ubwiza Bwawe (meaning “Your Glory”, a family song inspired by her father’s prayers), and this new release, “Ikamba ry’Abanesheje” (translated as “The Crown of the Overcomers”), written by Kaneza Eric, her brother who recently passed away, and produced by Micomyiza Aimée herself.

The song was released on December 31, 2025, and premiered in Majorstuen, Norway. At one point, it asks the listener, “What made you lose heart?” reminding them that although the sufferings of this world are many, those who remain faithful will receive the crown of the overcomers.

Micomyiza Aimée is a Rwandan worship leader born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and currently living in Norway. She views music as a calling from God rather than merely a profession. She practices it based on values of love, humility, and service to God, believing that music is a message capable of comforting people and transforming many hearts for God’s purposes (2 Corinthians 2:14).

She began her musical journey at a young age in church and evangelistic ministry, alongside her siblings, including Apostle Bisengo Paul and the late Kaneza Eric, who both played a significant role in her music. This journey has helped her grow in knowledge, creativity, and dedication as she serves God faithfully.

In 2026, Micomyiza Aimée aims to make a visible contribution to Rwandan music through songs with strong messages, producing an album, performing for her audience, collaborating with other artists in foreign languages, and nurturing new talents, all for the glory of God and to leave a meaningful legacy for many.

The song “Ikamba ry’Abanesheje” is a message of comfort to those who have faced trials, loss, and sorrow, reminding them of God’s promise of the crown of life for those who remain faithful.
