Rwandan artist Lionel Karangwa, popularly known as Lil G, is preparing for marriage with his longtime partner, a Polish woman named Emilia Mieczkowska, with whom he has been in a committed relationship for several years.
The rapper, who relocated to Poland in 2022, confirmed in an interview that the two are deeply in love and are planning to officially wed next year.
Speaking about their relationship, Lil G said, “Yes, we are in love. We haven’t done the wedding yet, but we’re discussing it, and very soon it might become official.” He added that if everything goes as planned, their wedding will take place in the coming year.
Emilia, who has two children, has chosen to keep her family details private, but sources close to the couple reveal that the two met and fell in love in Poland, where they have been living together as husband and wife.
While Lil G first gained fame as a rapper with songs like “Nimba Umugabo” and “It’s Okay,” he has also touched hearts with his worship song “Halleluyah,” released over six years ago.
In the song, he praises God with heartfelt words (“Lord, I thank You, I praise You, I sing to You. I take this moment to pray for others too, for knowing You, God, there is nothing like it. No one, Lord, does what You do.”)
As Lil G prepares for marriage, his journey reflects a deeper truth about the sacredness of marriage as seen through a biblical lens. In Genesis 2:24, the Bible says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
This verse highlights that marriage is not merely a social agreement but a divine covenant, a spiritual bond designed by God to reflect love, faithfulness, and unity.
For Lil G, this next step in life is not only a personal milestone but also a testimony of commitment, faith, and gratitude to God, whom he continues to honor through both his life and his music. His decision to marry underlines the importance of valuing love within God’s design, a union grounded in respect, mutual care, and spiritual harmony.
As the couple prepares for their wedding, their story serves as a reminder that true love is a gift from God, and entering marriage with reverence and purpose brings blessings not just to the couple but to all who witness their example.
