In a special private listening event for Alex Dusabe’s upcoming album titled ‘Amavuta y’igiciro’, gospel singer Israel Mbonyi emerged as the top contributor in supporting the project.
Alex Dusabe, a renowned gospel artist in Rwanda, received overwhelming support during this pre-release event, with his new album raising a total of Rwf 15,450,000 from various well-known figures and supporters in the Rwandan music scene.
The exclusive event took place at Dove Hotel on the night of September 14, 2025, gathering artists, music industry players, media personalities, and close fans of Dusabe. The evening was marked by joy, generosity, and a strong sense of solidarity.
Among the attendees was Israel Mbonyi, one of Rwanda’s most prominent gospel artists, who purchased the album for Rwf 2 million, making him the highest individual contributor.
Ishimwe Clément, CEO of KINA Music, and his wife, singer Butera Knowless, bought the album for Rwf 500,000. Although The Ben could not attend in person, he sent media personality Mutesi Scovia to represent him and contribute Rwf 1 million.
Other notable personalities in the Rwandan music and entertainment industry also showed their support, Bosco Nshuti (gospel artist), Massamba Intore (traditional music icon), Muyoboke Alex (music manager) and David Bayingana (media personality), each of them contributed Rwf 500,000.
Support also came from other sectors. Among them: Nyambo Jessica, a Rwandan actress, contributed Rwf 200,000; Veteran traditional artist Mariya Yohana gave Rwf 250,000; The Director of Chorale de Kigali donated Rwf 500,000;
Authentic Events, the company assisting Dusabe with his upcoming concert, donated Rwf 1 million; Altogether, these contributions brought in a total of Rwf 14,450,000 in a single night, a rare achievement for a gospel artist in Rwanda.
Following this listening session, Alexis Dusabe is set to officially launch his new album ‘Umuyoboro’ during a major concert scheduled to take place at Camp Kigali on December 14, 2025.
‘Amavuta y’Igiciro’ will be Dusabe’s fourth studio album, featuring new songs that aim to strengthen faith, encourage spiritual guidance, and remind believers of God’s enduring love.
