Kigali, February 1, 2025 – Grace Room Ministries has started this month in an exemplary manner by providing school uniforms to 609 primary school students.
This outstanding initiative cost approximately 11 million Rwandan Francs (Frw) and is part of a broader set of projects valued at over 28 million Frw, supported by various partners.
During the handover ceremony, Pastor Julienne Kabanda, the founder of Grace Room Ministries, emphasized that such efforts are aimed at helping children succeed in school and boosting their confidence.
She stated: “You have done a lot, and everything is focused on helping children and building the nation. We know those we call heroes, and you too will become heroes. After the uniforms, more support will follow.”
A Breakfast Porridge Program for Students
In addition to providing school uniforms, the ministry also plans to introduce a breakfast porridge program to ensure students start their day with proper nutrition, which will help them concentrate better in class.
Parents and students welcomed this initiative with great enthusiasm, noting that it would significantly improve their well-being, especially since some children had been attending school in worn-out uniforms or without any at all.
The Vision Behind Grace Room Ministries
Grace Room Ministries, headquartered in Nyarutarama, Rwanda, was founded in 2018 by Pastor Julienne Kabanda after receiving a divine vision.
In her vision, she saw many suffering people and felt compelled to help them. She also saw a rainbow above them with words that read "My Grace – Ubuntu Bwange," which inspired the name Grace Room.
Beyond evangelism, the ministry actively engages in humanitarian efforts, including rescuing street children, raising awareness against drug abuse among the youth, and supporting vulnerable communities.
This initiative, which has provided school uniforms to 609 students, further demonstrates that Grace Room Ministries remains committed to improving children’s lives and contributing to their success.
