As Alarm Ministries prepares for the highly anticipated “Iyo Ni Yo Data Live Concert” scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Camp Kigali, one story stands out.
What stands out is how this ministry became the place where gospel duo Ben & Chance first met, grew, and began their journey in both music and love.
Before they became one of Rwanda’s most inspiring worship duos, Ben Serugo and Chance Mbanza were simply two young singers whose paths crossed within the walls of Alarm Ministries.
In 2011, when Ben joined the ministry as a new vocalist, he could not have imagined that he had just stepped into the very place where both his musical calling and his future marriage would be shaped.
Within Alarm, he met Chance, a humble but gifted young woman whose talent quietly spoke for her. What looked like an ordinary encounter among choir members became a turning point that would define their lives both spiritually and personally. Many saw two remarkable singers; God was building a purposeful union.
Speaking during a press briefing on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, organized to promote the upcoming concert, Ben described Alarm Ministries as the foundation upon which their relationship and ministry stood.
“Ben & Chance is like a parent and a child,” he said. “Before I built a home, I had already found my calling in Alarm. When I met the person I was meant to spend my life with, I shared that calling with her, and it is the same calling that still defines us as Ben & Chance.”
Their love story and musical journey cannot be separated from Alarm Ministries. The ministry nurtured them, gave them opportunities to serve together, and later supported them even after marriage, treating them as its own.
As they prepare to stand on the same stage that shaped their beginnings, the upcoming “Iyo Ni Yo Data Live Concert” becomes more than a gospel event, it is a symbolic return to the place where everything started: their calling, their music, and their love.
The concert now represents a full circle moment. For Alarm Ministries, it is a celebration of legacy. For Ben & Chance, it is a tribute to the spiritual home that brought them together and ignited the ministry they now lead as a duo.
Their hit songs like “Yesu Arakora,” “Amarira,” “Mu Nda y’Ingumba,” and others may be known by many, but behind the music is a story that took root in fellowship, mentorship, and the loving support of a ministry that believed in them from day one.
As Camp Kigali prepares to welcome worshippers, the essence of the concert is clear: a celebration of God’s faithfulness, both in music and in the lives He brought together within Alarm Ministries.
