Alexis Nkomezi, a Rwandan gospel singer based in the United States of America, has released a powerful worship song titled “Amaraso” (translated “The Blood”), in collaboration with Gisubizo Ministries.
The song highlights the cleansing and redemptive power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
In an interview with Paradise, Nkomezi shared that this new release is the result of a musical journey that spans over two decades. “I’ve been doing music for more than 20 years, but I’ve spent the last 7 years focusing on my personal music ministry,” he said.
Nkomezi currently resides in the USA, where he serves spiritually at Christ Our Hope Evangelical Church, continuing his mission to glorify God through music.
The Inspiration Behind “Amaraso”
The song draws its message from biblical truth, affirming that only the blood of Jesus can cleanse sins and restore broken lives. Some of the lyrics include: “The blood of the Savior is what washes away the sins of the world. It cleanses and purifies those with impure hearts.”
Nkomezi continues: “By myself, I can do nothing. I am weak. But because of the blood of Jesus, I am valuable. I am strong, secure, empowered, peaceful, confident, and joyful — all because of His blood.”
Working with Gisubizo Ministries
On collaborating with Gisubizo Ministries, Alexis said it was a natural fit.
“Gisubizo is actually my ministry — they’re my people. So, working on a song with them wasn’t difficult at all,” he shared.
Reception and Response
According to Nkomezi, “Amaraso” has been warmly received by listeners and continues to gain traction. “It’s growing steadily and we believe it will reach the impact we hoped for. The way people are receiving it is a great encouragement,” he said.
His Vision in Music
Looking ahead, Alexis has a clear goal for his music ministry:
“My mission is to continue serving God at a higher and more impactful level than where we are now.”
He emphasized that this song is part of a broader spiritual journey and hopes it will help many remember the power and value found in the blood of Jesus.
