Paradise has known that the VIP and VVIP tickets for Israel Mbonyi’s Icyambu Live Concert have sold out just one day before the event. The concert, which is set for the evening of Wednesday, December 25, 2024, coincides with Christmas Day, a major Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Israel Mbonyi began selling tickets for his annual Icyambu Live Concert on November 29, 2024. The VVIP tickets, which were the most expensive, sold out immediately, and now the VIP tickets have also sold out. Ticket prices ranged from 5,000 RWF to 30,000 RWF, depending on the seating section.
The Icyambu Live Concert, which has been held annually on December 25 since 2022, will take place at BK Arena in Kigali. This marks the third edition of the concert in 2024. The event has always attracted large crowds, with fans and supporters coming out in full force. In an interview on Rwanda’s national television, Israel Mbonyi thanked his fans, saying, "I am grateful to my supporters who stand by me every day. Every time we hold Icyambu Live, they come in large numbers, and I appreciate them."

This year’s concert is special as it marks the tenth anniversary of Mbonyi’s music ministry, which began in 2014 with the release of his first album. He revealed that this year’s event would feature extraordinary elements, promising to surprise his fans with things they’ve never seen before.
Mbonyi’s choice of December 25 for the concert has intrigued some people, as it is traditionally a time for family gatherings and celebrations. He explained, "Christmas is a day when people gather with family, celebrate, and socialize, but in the evening when the activities wind down, the day still feels like any other. I thought, why not create an event where people can come together after spending time with family and friends, and end the day in a unique way—celebrating God for what He has done?"
His key partners in organizing the event include Airtel Money, who have supported him in past concerts, including in Butare. Mbonyi expressed his gratitude, saying, "Airtel Money helped in preparing this concert by providing a great service, Wagwani, which allows people to send money to various accounts. This is how people have been purchasing their tickets."
In closing, Mbonyi shared a message for his fans, encouraging them to buy tickets through the website www.ticquet.rw, and inviting everyone to join him for an unforgettable Christmas celebration. He said, "I love you all, and I look forward to seeing you at the concert. Let’s have a special time together on Christmas."
The Icyambu Live Concert has been a huge success in the past, with the BK Arena being packed with over 10,000 people during the last two editions. This year, with Mbonyi’s growing reputation in gospel music both in Rwanda and internationally, it is expected to attract even more attendees.
The concert, named after his popular song "Icyambu," will feature some of his biggest hits, including Icyambu, Nina Siri, Nita Amini, and Uwe Hai, among others.
