Ngabo Medal, popularly known as Meddy, has been announcing for more than two years that he has changed, from the direction of singing secular music to another of making songs of worship and praise to God, but until now, the reason was not known yet.
Many of his fans were angry after knowing that he has changed, they were looking for many incomprehensible reasons to explain why he stopped making love songs, while doing worship songs. Some said that he was ordered by his wife Mimi who doesn’t like secular music.
He later contradicted all this, saying what made him stop making regular songs. What caused him nothing else, is that he was commanded by Jesus Christ.
As he recently announced on the radio called Bolding Press Nation, he was sleeping as usual, and have a strange dream. In that dream, he talked to Jesus, and he realized that he was no longer someone else’s.
Jesus asked him three questions, so that Meddy, who was already a Christian, could choose one. Jesus said: "Do you want to live without me, do you want to live with me, do you want to be friends?" "I want to be friends," Meddy answered without hesitation.
He woke up feeling changed. The dreams he usually had but that day felt strange. He realized that Jesus wanted him to work for him, so he also realized that he could do nothing but stop making secular songs and instead make those to worship and praise God.
His life was based on the World but he had to leave it, believing that the Son of God will help him. Soon, in the month of January 2022 he released a song called Grateful. It was the beginning of a further walk in that direction.
These days, Rwandans and others who love him wherever they live, are waiting for a song he will collaborate with a singer of worship and praise songs called Adrien Misigaro.
It will be their second song together. Meddy will never again sing songs for World, but will sing for Heaven, because of the three questions Jesus Christ asked him.
