Rwandan Gospel singers Vestine and Dorcas have announced that they will no longer perform at the Vancouver Worship Encounter, which was scheduled to take place in Canada on September 12, 2026
The worship event was set to take place in Vancouver from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. at 5588 188 St, Surrey, BC, with tickets priced at $40. Pastor Jackson Mugisha was also expected to attend as a special guest preacher.
In a statement released on September 5, the singers said they were unable to attend because of unexpected issues on the organizers’ side.
“Due to unforeseen issues from the organizers, we will not be able to attend this event,” they said, while apologizing to their fans and everyone who had planned to attend.
The duo also thanked their supporters for their continued love and expressed hope that they would worship together again in the future.
Before the cancellation, Vestine and Dorcas had encouraged their Vancouver audience to prepare for the worship night, saying: “Vancouver, prepare your hearts, we are coming to worship. Let Jesus be glorified.”
Vestine and Dorcas are among Rwanda’s well-known Gospel music duos, with popular songs including Yebo, Emmanuel, Usisite, Ibuye, Isaha, Nahawe Ijambo, and Adonai. Their latest release is Itabaza.
