Renowned Tanzanian gospel artist and longtime Mamajusi Choir leader, Mwalimu Titus Ezra Sambay, has invited gospel music lovers, ministers of God, and Christians from across the region to join him for a special thanksgiving service marking 38 years of ministry, alongside the official launch of his new gospel album.

The highly anticipated celebration will take place on August 30, 2026, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Moshi, Tanzania, with the service beginning at 8:00 a.m.

In a recent message shared with his supporters, Sambay warmly appealed to believers not to miss the occasion, saying their presence would mean more to him than anything else.

"I invite all of you to stand with me during this thanksgiving service and the launch of my new album. Servant of God, I sincerely ask you to accompany me on this special day. Your presence means more than anything because you are my brother or sister in Christ," Sambay said.

He went on to thank God for His faithfulness throughout the years and urged people to make time to attend the celebration.

"I thank God so much for this amazing grace. Please don’t make plans that will keep you away on August 30, 2026. Come with your friends. We will experience wonderful moments together. Many special guests will be there, and together we will witness the mighty works of God," he added.

The event will not only commemorate 38 years of Sambay’s gospel ministry but will also serve as the official unveiling of his latest gospel music album.

Titus Ezra Sambay is widely recognized as one of Tanzania’s most influential gospel ministers. He rose to prominence through Mamajusi Choir, one of the country’s oldest and most respected gospel choirs.

Throughout his ministry, Sambay has touched countless lives through gospel music, particularly with his well-known song "Upendo Kuu la Yesu (Alilipa Deni Langu)," which has become one of the most beloved gospel songs across East Africa.

Organizers say the thanksgiving celebration is expected to bring together numerous gospel choirs, gospel artists, church leaders, and believers from different parts of Tanzania and beyond.

The occasion will be a celebration of God’s faithfulness over 38 years of ministry, while also honoring the lasting impact Mwalimu Titus Ezra Sambay continues to make through gospel music and evangelism.
