Miss Nishimwe Naomie and Michael Tesfay Officially Married in Civil Ceremony

Miss Nishimwe Naomie, the crowned Miss Rwanda 2020, has officially tied the knot with her fiancé, Michael Tesfay, in a civil ceremony on December 27, 2024.

This comes just two days ahead of their highly anticipated religious wedding, set to take place on December 29, 2024. The couple, who have captured the attention of many, had a private and intimate civil ceremony, and their upcoming wedding promises to be a spectacular celebration of their love.

The Wedding Celebration: On December 29, 2024, Naomie and Michael will hold their much-awaited wedding celebrations. The wedding ceremony will take place at Intare Arena in Rusororo, while they will exchange vows before God at Noble Family Church in Kimihurura. Following the ceremony, their guests will be hosted at Intare Conference Arena. This will be a special day for the couple, marking the beginning of their new journey together as husband and wife.

Their Love Journey: The couple’s journey together began with a surprise engagement on January 1, 2024, when Michael proposed to Naomie by presenting her with an engagement ring. Michael took to Instagram to express his excitement, saying that he had begun a new chapter in his life with Naomie after she said “yes” to spending forever with him.

Their relationship grew as they deepened their commitment to one another, and by February 2024, Michael officially sought Naomie’s hand in marriage in front of her family.

Naomie and Michael Tesfay: Naomie, who is also an entrepreneur with a fashion boutique, has spoken about how much her life has changed since she was crowned Miss Rwanda. She has had the opportunity to meet many people, work on various projects, and gain new experiences.

Michael Tesfay, originally from Ethiopia, has a rich academic background. He completed his Master’s degree in medicine at the University of Edinburgh and is passionate about health projects. In 2018, he worked as an intern at the University of Rwanda, furthering his skills and knowledge. He is also involved in a mental health initiative with Miss Akaliza Amanda, using technology to support mental health awareness.

Naomie has praised Michael for his character, describing him as a respectful, humble, and God-loving man who deeply cares for her. The couple is looking forward to their new life together and is thankful for the support they’ve received from their families and friends.

The Religious Wedding: After their civil ceremony, Naomie and Michael will mark the next step in their marriage with a religious wedding in a church. The couple’s faith is an important part of their relationship, and they look forward to starting their married life by making a spiritual commitment to each other.

Naomie, who worships at Noble Family Church in Kimihurura, will exchange vows in front of family, friends, and God, symbolizing the sacred nature of their union.

This special day will not only signify the love and commitment between Naomie and Michael but also highlight the beauty of their cultural and spiritual journey as they begin their new life together.

Naomie and Michael’s wedding is a significant and joyful occasion for both families, as they embark on a life of love and partnership. The celebration is more than just a wedding—it is the fulfillment of their dreams to be together, starting a new chapter in their lives as husband and wife. The couple’s journey has been filled with love, respect, and faith, and their upcoming marriage will be a reflection of these values.
